Credibly suspected traitor wants witness investigated

Georgia MAGA Congressman Barry Loudermilk, incontrovertibly seen on Capitol security video from early January 2021 giving a tour to at least one person who was spotted on the grounds during the subsequent insurrection, now wants former Trump White House staffer Cassidy Hutchinson investigated for changing her story after she ditched her douchebag Trump paid lawyer Stefan Passantino for coaching her on what to say to the House January 6th Select Committee investigators. It’s not clear if Loudermilk is just jerking himself off and making noises on John Solomon’s stupid streaming channel or is actually serious about investigating Hutchinson, but either way it’s plain that this is almost certainly connected to Hutchinson’s anticipated testimony for the prosecution in the Orange God Emperor’s upcoming DC trial for his failed post-2020 election coup attempt and Donald is simply outsourcing the witness intimidation work to this chode Loudermilk.

“We need to point out that the Democrat position is abortion for any reason, up until the moment of birth, paid for by taxpayers”

NRCC Chair Richard Hudson tells Punchbowl his most vulnerable incumbents are pretty much on their own when it comes to abortion messaging, saying swing district guys such as Mike Lawler and Marc Molinaro “need to articulate their position to the voters, because the voters think the Republican position is like, ‘We’ll throw you in jail if you get an abortion,'” even though that more or less came pretty close to happening to an Ohio woman this week. Actually she had a miscarriage.

Anyway Hudson then got maybe a little more upset over the situation, admitting Republicans “could have done a better job handling [abortion] last cycle, where the Democrats spent hundreds of millions of dollars on that topic and we pretty much just treated it like a hot stove and didn’t touch it.”

Finally Hudson gave into the dark side. “Republicans don’t have a policy problem. We have a branding problem. We need to point out that the Democrat position is abortion for any reason, up until the moment of birth, paid for by taxpayers. That’s extreme,” Hudson said, letting his fear lead to anger, his anger lead to hate, his hate lead to suffering. “If you’re losing on every issue that the voters care about, and you have no ideas on how to fix it, I would also want to change the subject to something else,” Hudson said, evidently quivering with rage that exaggerating issues with crime, the economy, and the border song isn’t quite doing it for them when women voters are still pissed.

Kevin McCarthy says his relationship with Trump is like a marriage

Speaking with a Financial Times reporter about the wreckage of his failed career in politics, former House Speaker Kevin McCarthy said his relationship with disgraced former President Trump was like a marriage a frank and sadly pretty accurate admission if you add the word “abusive.”

Good fucking God just read what this abject worm told FT’s Lauren Fedor: “Have you ever fought [with your husband]? Have you ever expressed your opinion? Because you love this person, would you express it stronger than you would express to somebody you met on the street? Every relationship has its ebbs and flows. Those relationships that are closer have more emotion. I couldn’t have a relationship with President Trump where we smiled at each other every day.”

What the actual fuck, lol. Trump literally ruined McCarthy’s career and still he keeping simping.

MyPayment didn’t go through

So Mike Lindell’s telling the truth about Fox News having “canceled” MyPillow commercials. That part is accurate. However where Lindell says he doesn’t know why and then starts thinking out loud that it’s some sort of concerted effort to silence him and Lou Dobbs and blah blah is bullshit, as the Daily Beast’s Justin Baragona reports that a source at the right wing propaganda network told him the Pillow man has been “unable to finance his commercials” and “the issue has been communicated with Lindell’s media buying agency at length.” The source added that it’s no big loss as they sold $1.4 billion in ad space last year, of which MyPillow ads were a mere “drop in the bucket.”

Biden campaign internal polling finds vast majority of undecided voters don’t think Trump will be 2024 Republican nominee

“Even as the Biden reelection campaign forges ahead with preparations for another potential general election match-up between Biden and his predecessor, it is grappling with a stubborn reality: The majority of undecided voters simply do not seem to believe – at least not yet – that Donald Trump is likely to be the Republican presidential nominee,” CNN reports, the sentence above we copied verbatim to underscore how weird this characterization of the situation, which further down in the report says nearly 75 percent of respondents to internal polls are under this notion, is.

That’s like one of the least bad problems Biden could have right now, because barring Trump dying of a massive heart attack on stage, he will be the nominee and it will take care of itself when he wins. Now getting it out of the way that nobody who wants Trump to lose and die in prison eventually is happy to see poll numbers with either a close race or with Trump ahead right now. Of course everyone wants that and not the creeping dread as the clock ticks toward November.

That’s not the timeline we’re living in. We’re also living in one where all the doomerism about Trump winning again is slowly but sure starting to look more like a sand castle than a rock.

Capitol rioter made $50 from sales of self-published Jan 6 book

Former fringe Oregon gubernatorial candidate Reed Christensen admitted Friday that his sales of his self-published book titled “Save the Kid!: How the Arrest of a January 6th Protester Revealed a Moral Compass That Can Save America,” netted him just $50 in royalties from the sales at $11.95 per paperback or $4.95 digital Kindle reader copy on Amazon, listed since January 18th, 2022.

“This book tells the first person account of a 62 year old electrical engineer, married for forty years, father of five, and veteran who ended up on the FBI’s Most Wanted list, was arrested on his way to church, and had his property raided by fifteen heavily armed agents for his actions protesting the corrupted election at the January 6th Stop the Steal rally in Washington DC,” says the description.

The Amazon page shows 14 verified reviews for the tome, averaging 4.5/5 stars, but doesn’t differentiate between buyers of the physical or the digital copy, so we don’t have a read on how much Christensen’s cut was from the sales. Either way, the opportunity cost per man-hour spent writing the book and getting it published likely being mere fractions of cents in profit are the least of Christensen’s problems as the admission of his book’s abysmal sales came just minutes before US District Court Judge Royce Lamberth sentenced Christensen to serve 46 months in prison for assaulting police officers during the January 6th, 2021 MAGA insurrection at the US Capitol.

House packs it in for the weekend after productive-ish week

After an action packed 2.5-day workweek in which they got not one but two resolutions seeking a contempt of Congress charge against Hunter Biden that his lawyer pointed out were legally invalid anyway and failed to pass a rule on spending, the US House of Representatives adjourned at noon on Friday and will not return until after the holiday weekend, the Huffington Post’s Jennifer Bendery reports while noting that they have just a few more days before a government shutdown.

Hunter’s lawyer says Comer and Jordan have to start over again

Hunter Biden’s lawyer Abbe Lowell told House GOP shitheads James Comer and Jim Jordan in a letter on Friday that they’re going to have to start the whole subpoena process over again because they issued their to Hunter before the full House authorized the impeachment inquiry, per the 2019 Trump Justice Department OLC memo that stated no subpoena from an unauthorized impeachment inquiry can be enforceable. This was just about an hour after white nationalist House Majority Whip Steve Scalise announced the vote to hold Hunter in contempt and refer it to the Justice Department would be held next, making them look even more like assholes for this incompetent investigation.

“The November 8 and 9, 2023, deposition subpoenas to Mr Biden and the contempt resolutions approved by your committees on January 10, 2024, based on those subpoenas were and are legally invalid. You have not explained why you are not interested in transparency and having the American people witness the full and complete testimony of Mr Biden at a public hearing. If you issue a new proper subpoena, now that there is a duly authorized impeachment inquiry, Mr Biden will comply for a hearing or deposition. We will accept such a subpoena on Mr Biden’s behalf,” Lowell wrote after explaining very slowly to the two morons exactly when and where they fucked this up.

Brilliantly played as usual by Lowell. Either those two look even more like idiots and re-do it to get what they want or the contempt gets tied up in court for at least a year and they don’t.

Gateway Pundit asks if Blinken tipped off Yemen before bombings

“The US and UK airstrikes on Yemen are absolutely stupid and is likely to ignite a spiral of violence that will leave Americans and Brits dead. The cable news shows absolutely love this story. They get to show video footage of F-18s zooming off the deck of a carrier and pictures of boiling clouds of black smoke risking above the cities of Sana’a and Al-Hudaydah,” writes some asshole Gateway Pundit contributor who claims to be a national security or intel expert or something.

“But what does this accomplish? From a military standpoint, it is unlikely that these bombings destroyed or damaged any Houthi rocket/drone/missile warehouses. Why? Because Antony Blinken briefed the leaders of Turkey, Greece, Jordan, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia on the US plan to hit Yemen. What are the odds that at least one senior person in the know passed that info along to folks in Yemen? I put it at 100%. So what? That gave Yemen time to disperse its assets or hide them in a secure location,” the “expert” editorial continues.

The government of Yemen has been fighting the Houthis for nearly a decade now. Of course Blinken fucking told them and even if he didn’t do you think they’d complain that the US just made their lives a little easier by blasting a few dozens enemy insurgents? Who the hell prints this shit?

Team Orange trying to lower expectations in frozen wasteland

Disgraced former President Trump’s campaign is trying to manage the expectations they’ve spent the last few months mismanaging for Monday’s Iowa GOP caucus after weather forecasts have called for wind chills as low as fucking -40° F just as his legions of fans in the state are supposed to be turning out for him in a crushing victory over his rivals “Birdbrain” and “Tiny D,” CNN reports.

“The weather issue may take away the intensity. But first of all, a win’s a win. And I know the expectations, but no one’s ever won Iowa by more than 12 points now. So that’s our goal,” a Trump minion tells CNN, even though the goal was like 30+ percent. “As the president made clear this weekend, he totally gets it as it relates to, you know, making sure that you show up making sure that you turn out. That’s been our focus. That’s been our message and that’s what it’ll continue to be.”

The Trump minion said the campaign has hired SUV drivers to fan out and drive reluctant Iowans to the caucus precincts “They’re in key areas where we want to be able to turn people out and, and where maybe the weather would make a difference,” the sycophant continued on a plan that we were to understand was a big no-no and basically “ballot harvesting” but what the hell do we know.

As far the managing expectations thing goes though, Trump himself isn’t into it, posting “Ron DeSanctimonious has just dropped to a solid third place in the new Suffolk University Poll, as Birdbrain, who performed poorly in the last debate against him, nevertheless overtakes Ron in Iowa. TRUMP, however, surges to a 34 Point lead, ‘knowing that his people will vote no matter how cold it gets. They will walk on glass for him in order to MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN'” on Truth Social Friday morning, making it clear he thinks he’s going to win by far greater than 12 percent.

Comer continues claiming he wanted to hear from Hunter Biden

House Oversight Chairbilly James Comer on Thursday continued to try to act like he and his committee wanted to hear from Hunter Biden during that disaster of a hearing on Wednesday, telling Sean Hannity that Hunter walked out when he knew crazy white nationalist Marjorie Taylor Greene was about to ask him questions. This is plausible when you ignore that just minutes earlier Dem Congressman Jared Moskowitz had asked the members to raise their hands if they wanted to swear Hunter in to have him testify right then and there… And no Republicans raised their hands.

Thus Hunter was not legally authorized to speak at the hearing and simply left.

Candidate Trump vs President Trump

Legal experts tell Politico that fat former President Trump’s recent attempts to paint his post-2020 election coup attempt as an official investigation of voter fraud and all that bullshit is all but certain to be seen by judges as too little too late given the paper trail of legal documents filed during all the desperate maneuvering in the November 2020 to January 2021 interregnum.

University of Texas Law Professor Steve Vladeck says examples like MAGA lawyer John Eastman having writing that Trump “seeks to intervene in this matter in his personal capacity as a candidate for reelection,” in a December 9, 2020 brief to the Supreme Court in support of Picasso-faced Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton’s batshit lawsuit against the swing states, have “at least some rhetorical force that even Trump has been inconsistent about the role in which he was acting.”

Michael Waldman, president and CEO of the Brennan Center for Justice and NYU School of Law agreed but also said it doesn’t actually matter anyway. “Anyone who lived through 2020 knows he was trying to stay in office. He was not making a disinterested or public spirited assertion about election law. He acted either as a candidate, or as part of an illegal effort to cling to power despite being defeated. It wasn’t a legitimate use of governmental authority,” said Waldman.

Even Eastman’s lawyer Charles Burnham tells Politico that his disgraced and soon to be disbarred little shitweasel client that was how he saw it “President Trump – like every other president in recent history – wore two hats. One, as president of the United States, the nation’s chief executive responsible for ensuring that the laws are faithfully executed, and the other as a candidate for reelection. Professor Eastman represented President Trump in that latter capacity.”

State Department says ease up on the Tinder in Colombia

State Department bulletin: “US Embassy Bogota is aware of eight suspicious deaths of private US citizens in Medellin between November 1 and December 31, 2023. The deaths appear to involve either involuntary drugging overdose or are suspected homicides. At this time, it is not believed these deaths are linked as each involved distinct circumstances, however several of the deaths point to possible drugging, robbery, and overdose, and several involve the use of online dating applications. According to the Tourism Observatory of the District Personnel of Medellin, the number of thefts committed against foreign visitors (excluding Venezuelans) increased 200 percent in the third trimester of 2023 compared to the previous year and violent deaths of foreign visitors increased 29 percent. Most of the 2023 violent death victims were US citizens.”

“Criminals use dating apps to lure victims to meet in public places such as hotels, restaurants, and bars, and then later assault and rob them. Numerous US citizens in Colombia have been drugged, robbed, and even killed by their Colombian dates. Over the last year, the Embassy has seen an increase in reports of incidents involving the use of online dating applications to lure victims, typically foreigners, for robbery by force or using sedatives to drug and rob individuals. The Embassy regularly receives reports of these types of incidents occurring in major cities, including, but not limited to, Medellin, Cartagena, and Bogota. These types of crimes routinely go under-reported as victims are embarrassed and do not want to follow through with the judicial process.”

Iowa Republican voters afraid to even talk about abortion

In an Associated Press piece titled literally “Worried about losing in 2024, Iowa’s Republican voters are less interested in talking about abortion,” as if avoiding the topic somehow makes it go away, a Trump fan interviewed at a MAGA rally said “At this stage, if we’re going to continually lose elections because of that issue, I’d say dump the whole damn thing and let God be the judge.”

“It used to be an issue for me. I guess it’s not a real hot-button issue today. Women in general are getting smarter about birth control and about how everything works” said a Republican woman at an event for Nimrata “Nikki” Haley, whom the AP writes that she “described herself as pro-life but said she doesn’t like how ugly the politics of abortion have become.” They did not add “for Republicans.”

“It’s an issue that’s very important to these evangelical voters but because that’s where we’re at here in Iowa, I suppose maybe there’s other issues that are really important right now,” said RNC committeeman and president of the Iowa Faith and Freedom Coalition Steve Scheffler, adding that Governor Kim Reynolds already “kind of addressed” abortion in the state with a six-week ban.

Haley fan Dan Corbin was a little more blunt about the “need to have a strategic approach” and to not “demonize women that are having to make that decision… I don’t believe in abortion in any way, shape or form. But I think it’s going to make the Republicans less attractive.” No shit.

Former Trump attorney slams Habba

Asked, “Who’s running Trump’s legal strategy:  Trump or his lawyers?” Tim Parlatore, a presumably unpaid former Trump lawyer, was less-than-supportive of Trump’s current legal counsel-slash-Super PAC spokesperson, “But, ah, with Alina Habba handling discovery, y’know, that’s not… that’s not something where anybody’s really at the wheel.”

Quarter of world’s population living in drought in last two years

According to a report by the United Nations, one-quarter of the world’s population–more than 1.8 billion people–lived under drought conditions at some point during 2022 or 2023, impacting everything from increasing consumer prices to the spread of disease to warfare, the New York Times reports.

While drought directly or indirectly caused an average of 12,000 deaths per year over the last half-century, the impact of droughts stretches from a lack of water in the Panama Canal leading to some larger ships being unable to fit into the waterway; to India banning the export of certain strains of rice; to food crops being decimated around the world.

And it’s not going to get better:  according to the Famine Early Warning Systems Network, a research group funded by the US government, the current El Nino weather pattern may lead to drought conditions on as much as 25% of the globe’s key agriculturally productive lands.  To prep in case the radical weather strikes vulnerable crops, countries like India and Indonesia are stockpiling rice supplies.
