For those feeding the money pot belonging to liberal media magnate/space explorer/local retail killer Jeff Bezos by holding an Amazon Prime membership, their television experience is about to get less stream-y and more cable-y as Prime Video membership include commercials starting January 29th.

Per the Washington Post, customers will be able to opt in to pay an additional $2.99 for a commercial-free entertainment experience, although there are a lot of questions about how exactly the cost will be charged for people who pay annual memberships.  Commercials will be added to programming in the United States, Britain, Germany and Canada in early 2024, with France, Italy, Spain, Mexico and Australia getting ads later in the year.

Disgraced former President Trump is demanding that his minions’ Larry Kudlow, Rick Perry, Linda McMahon, and others start paying him his cut out of their America First Policy Institute “think tank” scam operation as he believes they improperly raised money off his “brand,” Rolling Stone reports.

Trump tells his minions that he’d be fine if Rollins would just settle for “half” whatever the amount he thinks she owes. The most recent filings indicate that AFPI took in $38 million in FY 2021-22, but Trump believes it’s up to $60 million. He keeps asking if “the lawyers” can get involved and his sycophants keep telling him that’s a very bad idea. When asked for comment, large-headed spokesman Steven Cheung’s massive cranium emitted a typically combative statement. “None of these conversations ever happened, and these sources who pretend to speak for President Trump clearly have their own agenda so they’ve fabricated elaborate stories to make it seem like they know what’s going on. America First-aligned organizations exist because of President Trump and the movement he created, and we look forward to their continued work,” said Cheung.

A Wyoming woman sentenced to five years in prison for setting fire to the state’s only abortion clinic has been ordered by a federal judge to pay nearly $300,000 in restitution to the clinic operator, its insurance company and the building owner, the Associated Press reports.

Lorna Green admitted to making the two-and-a-half-hour drive from Laramie to Casper on May 25, 2022, breaking into the building that was under construction to become the Wellspring Health Access, scheduled to open in that June.  Green then poured gasoline around the interior of the building and set it afire.  While Green said she was anti-abortion, she never expressed such views or any politically militant views online; she claimed in her trial she was experiencing anxiety and nightmares about the clinic’s opening.

A student at Casper College, Green will repay $240,000 to the insurance company that covered the fire damage claim, as well as $33,500 to the building’s owner and $24,500 to the woman who founded and led of the clinic.  After the attack, the clinic finally opened in April 2023, becoming the only operating abortion clinic in the state.

In a motion that will likely be repeated in the various state and federal criminal cases Donald Trump faces, Special Counsel Jack Smith filed a motion with the DC federal court asserting Trump’s defense team should not be allowed to make arguments citing irrelevant or fictional claims.

Among the claims Smith wants barred from Trump’s defense:  the assertion that the prosecution is selective and vindictive, a claim that, as well as being false, does not contradict the facts to be presented and may adversely influence the jury; potential outcomes from a guilty or not guilty verdict in the trial, including political campaigns and potential civil unrest; and how federal and local agencies dealt with the Republican-led domestic terrorist attack on Congress January 6th (“[T]he defendant cannot argue that law enforcement should have prevented the violence he caused and obstruction he intended,” Smith writes.).

The Heritage Foundation on Wednesday filed a lawsuit against the Department of Defense for a cancellation of screenings the QAnon fan-favorite Sound of Freedom at the Miami-area headquarters of US SOUTHCOM, shitty right wing clickbait site TrendingPoliticsNews.com reports.

“Plaintiffs seek to understand the basis for SOUTHCOM’s decision and to determine whether factors outside of the stated reasons played a role in the cancellation and subsequent refusal to reschedule the screening. South Carolina Senator Lindsey Graham is still in New York State this week, fighting hard for the interests of, um, Chick-fil-A by lobbying against a state bill that would force a very narrow set of locations of the fast food chain, ones that haven’t even been built yet, ones only to be located at state-owned rest stops on the New York State Thruway, to remain open on Sundays.

Graham’s Wednesday spot on Fox News marks at least the second time in four days that the Palmetto State Republican was in Manhattan to advance the righteous cause of the Christian-themed fried chicken joint, as he made a public appearance at a Midtown Chick-fil-A on Saturday.

It’s not clear if Graham returned to South Carolina or Washington, DC in the intervening days. During his Fox News interview Graham assured the hosts and viewers that he wasn’t in the Empire State to force his personal beliefs about Chick-fil-A upon others, saying “The bottom line is Conservatives are tolerant, we are kind of get out of your business, you leave me alone, I’ll leave you alone.”

This compares with 18 dead in Lewiston, Maine in October at the hands of Robert Card, a far right militia cosplayer who hated trans people and was a fan of Jim Jordan, Tucker Carlson, and Donald Trump Jr, 8 dead in Allen, Texas at the hands of Mauricio Garcia, a 4chan incel Nazi who wore far right patches when he went on a shooting spree in a mall in May, three Black Americans dead in Jacksonville, Florida at the hands of white nationalist incel Ryan Palmeter in August, a six year-old Palestinian-American Illinois boy who was stabbed to death by his MAGA landlord Joseph Czuba.

Justice Department special counsel Jack Smith on Wednesday filed a motion in the still in-stasis pretrial stage of disgraced former President Trump’s post-2020 election coup attempt case asking DC Judge Tanya Chutkan to ban the fat fuck’s defense from telling the jury he’s being “targeted” by the Biden Administration with a politically motivated prosecution, Politico’s Kyle Cheney reports.

“Following his indictment in this District, the defendant has made unsupported and politicized claims of selective and vindictive prosecution, indicated that he intends to explore irrelevant issues related to the Government’s investigation, and complained that the grand jury’s indictment and the Court’s trial date will interfere with his political activities. None of these issues goes to the defendant’s guilt or innocence, all of them should be excluded… The Court should prohibit the defendant from introducing evidence, making arguments, or framing questions to advance a theory of selective or vindictive prosecution, or to otherwise improperly inject politics into the trial. The defendant has made a baseless claim of selective and vindictive prosecution, and repeatedly has levied the false accusation that the indictment – returned by a grand jury of citizens of this District on a finding of probable cause was directed by the current president as a form of election interference. In addition to being wrong, these allegations are irrelevant to the jury’s determination of the defendant’s guilt or innocence, would be prejudicial if presented to the jury, and must be excluded,” Smith’s team wrote.

The Michigan state Supreme Court on Wednesday upheld a lower court decision deeming disgraced former President Trump is still eligible for the 2024 primary ballot despite having engaged in insurrection. The ruling does not close the door on a crack at removing the fat fuck from the general election ballot (should the US Supreme Court sidestep the Colorado Supreme Court’s ruling), as the opinion concerns only the court’s lack of jurisdiction over the Michigan Republican Party’s process.

“The Michigan Supreme Court has strongly and rightfully denied the Desperate Democrat attempt to take the leading Candidate in the 2024 Presidential Election, me, off the ballot in the Great State of Michigan,” the orange bastard later posted on Truth Social, making it plain he doesn’t understand that he’s not out of the woods yet there and everything’s on the line at the US Supreme Court.

“They cheated on the Election in so many ways. Ballot stuffing, the 51 Intelligence Agents, not getting approval from state legislatures, FBI/Twitter Files, and much more. I am entitled to IMMUNITY!!!” wrote fat former President Trump on Truth Social on Wednesday morning, at least the third time in the last four days that he posted some version of the same rant falsely stressing the “I was not campaigning” aspect of his bullshit “presidential immunity” defense as he faces a crucial DC Appeals Court hearing on January 9th in a desperate bid to avoid going on trial before the 2024 election.

Trump even pinned a post saying more or less the same shit on Tuesday night, as if there was any doubt about just how important it is for him to tell his fans he wasn’t campaigning, even though it’s beyond dispute that he continued collecting donations from them after election day in 2020 and that the January 6th Ellipse rally in which he incited the Capitol riot was a political and not official event.

“They illegally spied on my campaign, lied to Congress, cheated FISA, didn’t get approval from State Legislatures, lost control of ballot counting, stuffed ballots, 51 Fake Intelligence Agents, FBI/Twitter Files, and much more, and they come after me for Election Interference. Only in America!” Trump continued in another post. This one’s great. Love the “They illegally spied on my campaign, lied to Congress, cheated FISA,” as if the grievances from 2016 are supposed to matter now. Even better are the repeats of the “FBI/Twitter Files” bullshit – sorry fucking Hunter’s laptop didn’t help swing the 2020 election your way like you paying off Stormy Daniels helped you big time in 2016 – and the “didn’t get approval from State Legislatures,” which is both completely false and implies he’s still butthurt that more people simply were able to vote by mail than in prior elections.

In an interview transcript obtained by the New York Times, one of the 16 Michigan Republicans to be charged with signing false Electoral College votes and the only so far to reach a cooperation agreement with Attorney General Dana Nessel’s office, told prosecutors he felt “betrayed” by the others who had talked him into filling in at the last minute for a would-be elector who dropped out.

“I can’t overemphasize how once I read the information in the J6 transcripts how upset I was that the legitimate process had not been followed,” James Renner said in the interview. “I felt that I had been walked into a situation that I shouldn’t have ever been involved in. I was accepting the individuals that were in authority [knew] what they were talking about.” Renner said he began looking into the January 6th Select Committee transcripts after he and the other 15 had been sued earlier this year. “It was only then that I realized that, hold it, there is an official state authorized process for this… I had never been an elector, I had never discussed it with anybody. I was used to a much more informal process at the county level. And so that’s when I became suspicious of what had gone on,” he said, adding that he later realized “what happened was not legitimate.”

Renner, a 77 year-old retired state trooper, is so far the only fake Michigan elector to have had the charges dropped against him for cooperating with prosecutors. The Times’s reporting mentions that at a recent pretrial hearing that a former Michigan GOP official had drafted language to specify that the electors were signing only on a contingent basis – the qualifier that their counterparts in Pennsylvania and New Mexico added and as such have almost certainly saved their own asses – but that official had been sidelined by a COVID infection that day.

A new AP-NORC survey finds that just 20 percent of Republican voters have “a great deal” or “quite a bit” of confidence, 22 percent have a “moderate amount,” and 58 percent have “only a little or none at all” confidence that the Democratic Party’s 2024 primary votes will be counted correctly.

This is in contrast with 46 percent of Democratic voters having “a great deal” or “quite a bit” of confidence, 24 percent having a “moderate mount,” and 29 percent having “only a little or none at all” confidence that the Republican Party’s 2024 primary votes will be counted correctly.

All of this makes for a neat quantification of the “DeAn pHiLL1pS iS GeTTiNg sCReWeD By tEh B1deN cR1mE fAm1Ly!!!11!!” bullshit already getting fired up in MAGA world. To be fair though, it’s not like Republican voters are that much more confident in their own party’s primary process, as just 37 percent say they have “a great deal” or “quite a bit” of confidence in it, and 31 percent say a “moderate” amount, leaving nearly a third thinking the GOP’s 2024 race is rigged. Meanwhile 72 percent of Dem voters have high confidence, 19 percent a moderate amount, and only 8 percent have low or no confidence that votes will be counted accurately in the 2024 Dem primary.

Without printing or linking to the crosstabs of the general election findings the AP writes “About one-quarter of Republicans say they have at least ‘quite a bit’ of confidence that the votes in the 2024 presidential election will be counted accurately, significantly lower than Democrats.”

Rejecting a claim from the ghost of Project Veritas that its actions were covered under the First Amendment protection for journalists, a judge said investigating federal officers will get back nearly 1,000 documents regarding the theft and distribution of a diary that belonged to the daughter of President Joe Biden seized from the group in an FBI raid in November 2021, the Associated Press reports.

Project Veritas paid $20,000 each to Florida People and convicted criminals Aimee Harris and Robert Kurlander to deliver the book, Ashley Biden’s tax information and other items stolen from the Florida home to O’Keefe’s offices in New York.  The pair later pleaded guilty to various charges regarding the theft and transportation of the stolen items across state lines. The order means federal investigators will get more than 900 documents from Project Veritas about the theft, acquisition and distribution of the diary for possible charges regarding the theft of the items and their transportation to New York.

The campaign for Republican presidential candidate and man who assures you your life insurance policy rate will not go up Vivek Ramaswamy has eliminated all spending on television ads in New Hampshire one month before the state’s influential early primary on January 23rd, NBC News reports.

After spending more than $200,000 in the state in the first week in December, the Ramaswamy campaign ran just $6,000 in ads last week across all media, and it reportedly has no media booked in the coming weeks.  Of course, Vivek’s campaign wants you to know that this is exactly the kind of news the Leftist Media would report because it’s trying to squelch the voice of the people who know the vaccine had trackable nanorobotics that control your mind and time-traveling aliens crashed their spacecraft into the Pentagon so the Men in Black destroyed the World Trade Center to cover up the fact that they already know the next election is rigged against Trump.  Or something like that.

She thanked me profusely. Two months later, she was back on the trail ranting and raving about ‘TRUMP.'”

Trump left out that later that year he had told his fans that John Dingell was burning in hell.

They teamed up with the Heartland Institute, another group that is also very respectable, extremely credible,” said Boston-area MAGA radio host Jeff Kuhner earlier this month in reaction to a “rock solid” finding from a Rasmussen survey where circa 20 percent of all respondents who voted by mail in 2020 supposedly said they “claim they took advantage of election laws that loosened up because of the coronavirus crisis to commit fraud, including filling out ballots for others.”

Kuhner’s reaction is just one of dozens of hot takes from right wing influencers and media personalties listed on the Heartland Institute’s website in the days after the Washington Examiner first printed an article about the poll, which also found “Nineteen percent of those who cast mail-in votes say a friend or family member filled out their ballot, in part or in full” and “Seventeen percent of mail-in voters said they cast a ballot in a state where they were no longer permanent residents.”

How will Joe Biden recover from this… y’know, after a surprisingly strong 5.2% economic growth in the third quarter, ongoing job creation, and now consumer spending during the holiday season increased by 3.1% over last year, according to data from Mastercard (which is not Visa) as reported by Reuters.  The number came in less than the 3.7% forecast likely due to increased credit card interest rates, and far lower than the 7.3% increase seen in 2022, as retailers discounted merchandise deeply rid themselves of excess stock from the pandemic.  The number, though, is closer to pre-pandemic increases which typically ran between 2.5-4%.

Ukrainian military officials claim to have sunk the Russian “large landing ship” Novocherkassk that was moored at the eastern Crimean port of Feodosia, the second successful attack on that ship since the Russian invasion, the Washington Post reports.

The Novocherkassk is the fourth “large landing ship”–a Russian navy designation–to be damaged by the Ukrainians during the war.  A video posted on Telegram showed a ship explosion at a Ukrainian port that was matched by an independent investigation firm as matching the place and time of the alleged attack.
