[Tavares] responded that he would not know how to do that, and that he did not believe that he would have the rights to do that. [Tavares] told DE OLIVEIRA that DE OLIVEIRA would have to reach out to another employee who was a supervisor of security for TRUMP’s business organization. DE OLIVEIRA then insisted to [Tavares] that ‘the boss’ wanted the server deleted.”

“According to Section 137 of the constitution, Bola Tinubu is not disqualified from contesting the presidential poll,” ruled Nigerian Supreme Court Justice Haruna Tsammani, also finding that the allegations that Tinubu had a criminal record for drug trafficking in the US was bullshit. The tribunal’s proceedings did not include any allegations that Twitter suppressed stories about Tinubu’s son’s laptop or that too many people were allowed to vote by mail. Those might’ve worked.

Writing simply “Decline to sign, Defendant’s arguments are completely without merit,” New York state Judge Arthur Engoron on Wednesday denied disgraced former President Trump’s motion to delay the trial New York Attorney General Leticia James’s $250 million civil suit against him aimed to annihilate his corrupt business empire, still scheduled to kick off in Manhattan next month.

Trump minions Kenny Chesebro and Sidney “Kraken” Powell are in court in Fulton County, Georgia on Wednesday seeking to sever their cases from the other 17 defendants in the sprawling RICO indictment over their efforts to overturn the results of the 2020 election in the Peach State.

The email was forwarded atop a previous one dated Saturday, which read in part: “A judge ruled that all of my court proceedings in Atlanta will be TELEVISED for the entire country to watch. The Communist Democrats would love nothing more than for me to be stuck in court in a televised spectacle as a way to keep me off the campaign trail. But I refuse to play into the Left’s hands. That’s why I have waived my in-person formal arraignment and simply pleaded ‘NOT GUILTY’ to the indictment in the Georgia witch hunt… Why would I fly down to Atlanta just to hear over a dozen FALSE CHARGES brought against me on live TV? We have serious matters to deal with – not televised charades orchestrated by Crooked Joe and his corrupt accomplices.”

The Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW), a 20-year-old non-partisan watchdog group that monitors questionable behavior by elected officials in DC, has filed a lawsuit in Colorado seeking to prevent Donald Trump from the ballot in November 2024 based on Section 3 of the 14th Amendment, ABC News reports.  It’s the first significant lawsuit to remove Trump from a state ballot.

The clause, known as the Disqualification Clause, prevents people who had previously taken an oath as a public servent to protect and defend the Constitution from holding future office if they subsequently “engaged in insurrection or rebellion against the same, or given aid or comfort to the enemies thereof.”  Proponents of the lawsuit say Trump’s support for the January 6th domestic terrorist attack on Congress meet the criteria outlined in the Constitution for exclusion from public office.

“As you may know, it’s hot here in Florida, so Tripoid the bear needed to refresh, and he decided to go for the White Claws when he opened the cooler,” Josaury Faneite-Diglio told CBS.

Manhattan federal Judge Lewis Kaplan on Wednesday awarded a partial summary judgment to writer EJ Carroll in her second defamation lawsuit against disgraced former President Trump, finding that the allegations in her complaint that the twice-impeached loser defamed her in 2019 were proven based on the findings in the first trial concluded in May of this year. The upcoming trial in the second case is still set to begin in January, however the jury will only be asked to consider damages.

House Freedom Caucasians are telling Axios that a motion to vacate the Speakership, which legendarily uncourageous Republican leader Kevin McCarthy agreed to allow any one member to initiate because he literally had no choice otherwise, could be coming for him and soon.

“I think it’s [motion to vacate] in the back of everybody’s mind… If somebody brings that it wouldn’t take much, you know, it just takes a couple of votes,” said Tennessee MAGA Congressman Tim Burchett. “I’ve been picking up chatter that they want to do a motion to vacate if we do a CR, but a lot of people want a CR to get more time and to attach HR 2,” another member said anonymously.

“When we get back to Washington in the coming weeks, we have got to seize the initiative. That means forcing votes on impeachment. And if Kevin McCarthy stands in our way, you may not have the job long,” Matt Gaetz said Tuesday on far right propagandist Todd Starnes’s show.

Trump lawyer Evan Corcoran, who has appeared to have sufficiently complied with prosecutors to save his own ass, in May of last year tried to warn the Orange God Emperor that he had to comply with the subpoena for the documents he had stolen from the White House following his humiliating defeat to Joe Biden in the 2020 election or the FBI would eventually come to Mar-a-Lago looking for them, according to Corcoran’s contemporaneous audio notes obtained by ABC News.

Another Trump attorney, probably that Boris Epshteyn chode if we had to guess, just minutes later warned Donald “would just go ballistic” if Corcoran continued to push the compliance issue.

The best part is the ending: The FBI did end up raiding Mar-a-Lago to recover the documents and Trump was eventually indicted for hoarding them just over a year after Corcoran recorded the notes.

US Secretary of State Tony Blinken on Wednesday landed in Kyiv to continue showing American support for Ukraine amid a grinding counteroffensive that is reportedly on the verge of a major breakout against the Russian occupiers in the country’s east, Bloomberg reports. The stop-by marks Blinken’s fourth visit to Ukraine since the war began and comes ahead of an expected announcement of another $1 billion in US military and humanitarian aid for the war-torn country.

Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis rebutted the attempt of one of the fake Republican electors to remove his case to federal court because, the defendant claims, he was working under the orders of the Trump campaign and was therefore acting as a federal official.  Willis asserts the defendant, Shawn Still, essentially argues that the electors were just acting as electors, not attempting to actually be the state’s electors, a claim that falls short of what the group actually did.

Of course, this group of sham electors was anything but duly elected or qualified . Nevertheless, Defendant and his fellow conspirators then caused the false certificate to be sent to the President of the Senate, the Archives of the United States, the Georgia Secretary of State, and the Chief Judge of the Northern District of Georgia, as would be appropriate if the false slate of electors had been genuine.  As alleged in the indictment, Defendant Still and his co-defendants were part of a conspiracy to subvert the electoral process. [Doc. 1-1], 30-32 (detailing scheme to have Trump elector nominees attempt to cast electoral votes in Georgia, Arizona, Michigan, Nevada, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin, despite Trump’s loss in each of those states).

Perhaps taking a swipe at a one-time Georgian Republican Senate candidate, Texan Herschel Walker, Willis wrote, “Defendant’s argument is akin to claiming that a homemade badge could transform him into a genuine United States Marshal with all the powers afforded that position.”

Mother Nature obviously doesn’t want Ron DeSantis on the campaign trail.  Less than a week after Hurricane Idalia made landfall on the Gulf coast of Florida, a new Tropical Storm has formed in the Atlantic, and initial projections show it’s headed toward Florida, CBS News reports.

Currently 1,300 miles east of the Lesser Antilles, Tropical Storm Lee is expected to intensive as it heads northeast toward Dominica and Cuba, at which point it could continue on the path to Florida or bounce out to the North Atlantic.

New York Attorney General Letitia James asked a judge to sanction Donald Trump, his two eldest sons, and his company among others, for repeatedly pushing dismissed and flagrantly faulty arguments in an apparent attempt to delay the civil financial fraud case from being heard, the Washington Post reports.

With the trial scheduled to start October 2nd, Trump has already been sanctioned by the judge in this case:  in June 2022, New York Supreme Court Justice Arthur Engoron fined Trump a total of $110,000 for failing to comply with subpoenas.  In a federal court earlier this year, he and his lawyers, including Alina Habba in this set, were fined nearly $1 million for bringing a frivolous lawsuit against Hillary Clinton and various Justice Department officials.

We have no idea if this deranged idiot is saying something in reference to the sealed motion filed by Justice Department special counsel Jack Smith earlier on Tuesday or if he just made this shit up. Trump did however in the prior post resurrect his insane rant from last month accusing the House January 6th Select Committee of doing it, so who the hell knows. He seems rattled either way. The “DISMISS SUIT” is a nice touch since it’s not a lawsuit but felony criminal charges.

Former Proud Boys leader Enrique Tarrio was sentenced to 22 years in federal prison Tuesday for seditious conspiracy in his fascist street gang’s role in the January 6th insurrection after fat former President Trump’s humiliating defeat in the 2020 election, CBS’s Scott MacFarlane reports.

The sentence is by four years the longest of any handed down to a Capitol riot defendant, the second longest being Tarrio’s frenemy terrorist Oath Keepers founder Stewie Rhodes who was hit with 18 years in the slammer after being convicted of the same charge. Trump-appointed DC Circuit Judge Tim Kelly, known for going relatively easy on some rioters, was unsparing in his assessment of Tarrio, applying the terrorism enhancement to the sentence and declaring the street brawler “the ultimate leader of the conspiracy” to prevent Biden’s win from being certified. Sucks for him.

A series of complaints lodged against Wisconsin Supreme Court Justice Janet Protasiewicz by Republican activists unable to accept another conservative election loss has been rejected by a state judicial panel, bringing to a close the latest attempt by anti-democratic conservatives to unseat a duly-elected official.

According to the Associated Press, Protasiewicz released a letter from the Wisconsin Judicial Commission saying it found no grounds to pursue complaints that she made unethical comments during the campaign.  Protasiewicz flipped a seat on the court, giving Democrats a majority, something Republicans cannot abide.  Republicans, therefore, intended to use an adverse ruling by the commission to justify Protasiewicz’s impeachment.  With the commission’s ruling, the state GOP will have to fabricate other grounds.

In a motion filed publicly explaining another motion filed under seal in the Washington, DC case against disgraced former President Trump over his post-2020 election coup attempt, Justice Department special counsel Jack Smith on Tuesday informed circuit Judge Tanya Chutkan that “the pressing matters before the Court – including the defendant’s daily extrajudicial statements that threaten to prejudice the jury pool in this case, as described” in the accompanying sealed motion.

Now we’d like to be cautious about the implications of this since the entire motion is pretty deep in the weeds but it would seem as though Smith is publicly saying that Trump’s “daily extrajudicial statements” are directly referencing some evidence against him provided in discovery in a direct violation of the protective order. The sealed motion does not appear to center on the statements entirely, but rather a sideswipe in an otherwise routine filing, much like how Smith nonchalantly included that “IF YOU GO AFTER ME, I’M COMING AFTER YOU!” meltdown in their proposal for the protective order early last month. Maybe a “just for the record” kind of thing to remind Inmate P01135809 that they’re watching him and he who sows the fuck shall reap the find out.
