Screeching on Sean Hannity’s show, South Carolina Republican Senator and person figuring out whose teat he now must suckle Lindsey Graham said that he would “shut down the Senate” if anyone at the border denies him access to something he wants to see during a Friday photo op.
Graham and Texas Republican Senator Ted Cruz will go to border operations housing minors who came across the border unaccompanied with a camera crew from the Hannity show, meaning it’s not a fact finding mission, but a footage finding mission.
Graham claimed that there had never been this volume of unaccompanied minors coming across the border, an event he claimed was due to changes enacted by the Biden Administration. (In fact, according to the Border Patrol, in 2019, approximately 575,000 unaccompanied minors came across the border. For the record, 2019 was the Trump Administration, and neither Graham nor Cruz–nor Hannity–called it a crisis then.)
