The false slate of Trump electors in Michigan, who on December 14th, 2020 were turned away by state police from the state capitol when they tried to enter as the Biden electors certified the state’s Electoral College votes inside, had earlier plotted to get inside the locked down building during the meeting, the Detroit News reports amid increased scrutiny of the fake elector plan across seven states. Several sources told the Detroit News that an unnamed GOP lawmaker was in on the plan and would help the fake electors get into the certification meeting in the state House chamber through his office, but Republican leadership caught wind of the plan and squashed it.
Earlier reporting would strongly suggest this was state Rep Gary Eisen, who that morning told a radio interviewer “I’m on a football team, and we have one more play.” When WPHM host Paul Miller then asked Eisen “Can you assure me that this is going to be a safe day in Lansing, nobody’s going to get hurt?” Eisen said “No.” Eisen was later stripped of his committee assignments by then-Speaker Lee Chatfield, who’s now in a world of shit for entirely different reasons.
