Almost certainly the single rank and file state legislator with the most mentions on National Zero (possibly excluding leadership), Mastriano’s rise from a simple, hardworking Pizzagater to running for the top job in the Keystone State was full of lows and more lows, from testing positive for COVID-19 just as he brought his son to the White House to meet Trump and conspire to overturn the election in late November 2020, to getting caught fabricating research on his doctorate in history, to getting caught lying about just how close he was to the Capitol on January 6th – to which he brought busloads of MAGA Pennsylvanians, many of whom were charged with felonies for the insurrection, to hanging out with a rioter sought by the FBI months later, to trying and failing to get fellow Republicans on board with a fake CyberNinjas-style “audit” like in Arizona – which he flew to Phoenix and scoped out last summer – a winding road paved with MAGA bullshit thicker than Donald’s flab.
