An 18-year-old Florida man who posted photos of himself brandishing a handgun, a rifle and a tactical vest–commenting that he asked Siri to find “directions to the nearest school”–has been arrested by detectives from the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office despite the weapons being low velocity airsoft guns, the Associated Press reports.
Less than a week after a gunman entered a Texas elementary school where he shot and killed 19 students and two teachers, Corey Anderson made posts on social media that were reported to local authorities, despite conservatives who claim that owning weapons and speaking freely are Constitutional rights, with the Second Amendment the only way to guarantee the First.
The guns in Anderson’s photos turned out to be airsoft weapons, not actual assault weapons. “Protecting our students is our greatest priority,” Hillsborough County Sheriff Chad Chronister said said. We take school threats very seriously, if you see something suspicious, please contact us immediately.”
