House Oversight Committee Chairhick James Comer on Thursday told Newsmax he was aiming to get his most elusive prey, Hunter Biden, under oath by Monday, December 4th so he and his team of crack investigators can finally unravel the giant conspiracy of the Biden Crime Family something.

Noticeably absent from Comer’s hit on the far right propaganda network – aside from any real evidence that Joe Biden benefitted from Hunter’s scams but that’s a given now – were details about the nature of the sworn deposition, specifically whether it would be aired publicly, leading us to suspect it will not be. We get that sometimes the practice is to have a closed-door deposition and then a public one, and that’d be completely fine, but Comer did not mention that either.

Actually you would think that if it were public and on television then Comer would be excitedly hyping it. Of course Hunter hasn’t actually agreed to anything yet – and he doesn’t have to because the House still hasn’t formally authorized this impeachment inquiry, making his subpoenas legally unenforceable – though Comer could set a public hearing, promote the hell out of it, and still declare victory if Hunter doesn’t show up. Then he can have some “whistleblower” testify instead.

Let’s skip the naive, leading sarcasm and get right to it: Comer is too chickenshit to risk Hunter making him look like even more of a stupid asshole at a public hearing, even one preceded by a closed-door deposition. MAYBE that will change and Comer will take it live if/when the private one goes well enough for him, but don’t count on it. Either way right now Comer is screaming like those 🚨 emojis he’s so fond of using that he doesn’t have shit. If he did, he would be setting a trap for Hunter, some apocalyptically damning evidence to pull out in a big, dramatic reveal at a live hearing.
