I’m not worried about current polling but I’m starting to feel that we’re missing the opportunity to define them for low-info voters before they get a positive impression of them” – The top comment on a Townhall.com podcast episode titled “Defining Kamala,” in which dickwad Kurt Schlicter complains about Republicans fretting over the Trump campaign’s failure to “define” their new opponent over the last two weeks, calling them a bunch of pussies for squirming endlessly over Donald’s demented race-based attacks on Harris.
The podcast is brutal (click here for a direct link if the paywall blocks you), could only get through about six minutes of its 20 minute length. Basically Schlicter says Trump was right to seize on Harris being both Black and Indian because that means she’s a phony, therefore she has been defined.
Lol. But going back to the comment itself, it’s amazing how a nerdy, Cook Political Report-level concept of “defining” has been MAGAstreamed to the regular, everyday internet wankers in the right wing media universe. And its percolation down to those dregs – a lot of it driven by Trump himself when on Saturday he told his fans “We have to work hard to define” Harris – is almost certainly a byproduct of DC-class Republicans and the MSM having given Team Orange about a two-week window to “define” her, a window that was going to shut hard when Harris picked her running mate.

Anyway, Schlichter isn’t wrong. If Republicans are saying shit like “Every day Trump swipes at shiny objects – attacking the popular governor of a swing state [Brian Kemp], questioning the race of his opponent, or battling cat lady comments by his VP – is a day he is letting Harris define herself on her own terms,” a day before the (self-imposed) window shuts, and he spent most of that two weeks coming up with “Kamabla” then he probably wasn’t ever going to “define” her like he and his minions successfully did with Joe Biden as too old (at which Joe tragically helped them all too well).
