Venezuela’s National Assembly President Jorge Rodriguez on Sunday claimed that domestic far right extremists are planning an attack on the largely mothballed US embassy in Caracas and that convicted felon President Trump’s regime had been duly warned of the threat, Reuters reports.
Trump severed diplomatic ties with Maduro’s regime in 2019, leaving the embassy deserted of all US diplomatic personnel and handing it over to Switzerland on a custodial basis – with more than a hundred locals still maintaining the facility. So it’s not like the attack would have been merely “symbolic” and bloodless, an angle that both Rodriguez and Reuters seem to have missed: That such an action – that was supposed to be blamed on dictator Nicolas Maduro’s regime – just might not have been a unilateral move by the right wing partisans but more like a USS Maine or Gulf of Tonkin-type moment. That they already knew and the whole point of the false flag is to cost zero American still provide more than enough pretext for the Trump regime to launch the all-out war against the rogue South American state the fat bastard has been itching to start for a while.
