He’s right. As insane and malevolent as Trump is and has always been, on this subject, minus the weird “watchtower” shit and blatant lies about scientific and public consensus, there’s really no good reason to not switch to year-round Daylight Saving Time. Anti-year-round-DSTers might have their opinions and admittedly valid concerns about the safety of schoolchildren in the morning (for which school districts should themselves find ways to adjust, like staggered hours that they should be doing anyway under the current regime) but the fact is that DST was lengthened by a few weeks on both sides in 2007 and the world didn’t end then. All it did was undermine their arguments.
