Trump-endorsed Wisconsin governor candidate and rich construction executive Tim Michels has a habit of calling his wealthy enclave’s cops to handle some gratingly petty shit, the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel reports on response records from the Village of Chenequa Police Department.
In 2016, Michels called police when a man towed Michels’ 16-foot Zodiac boat from the driveway, only for cops to find that the man had been hired by Michels’ wife to make repairs to the vessel ahead of some regatta. In 2018 the future MAGA candidate called from the road to say his wife wasn’t answering the phone, police found Mrs Michels was simply taking a nap. In 2004, when Michels was running for the US Senate against incumbent Dem Russ Feingold, he called police to ask to investigate if a local car dealer who supported a GOP primary rival had dumped a shit ton of those chintzy free home and auto buyers’ guides on his front lawn. Several months later he called again to report over 100 copies of a Milwaukee lib alt-newspaper were also strewn on the lawn.
By far the most common reason for Michels requiring police assistance was his dogs, who apparently have a habit of running away. Cops warned Barbara Michels “she will receive a citation if we get another dog-at-large complaint,” after the dogs escaped twice in two days.
