A Trump-appointed federal judge denied ripped foam hype man and insurrection-adjacent conspiracy theorist Mike Lindell’s attempt to get his cell phone, seized by the FBI in an Arby’s drive-thru in Minnesota, returned to him, saying law enforcement had ample evidence to support a warrant, Politico reports.
U.S. District Court Judge Eric Tostrud also determined that the FBI didn’t have to give Lindell a copy of the affidavit upon which the search and seizure warrant was issued. Tostrud said the 80-page affidavit included information about ongoing investigations, sources and other undisclosed information.
“Premature disclosure of these materials would significantly undermine the Government’s ongoing criminal investigation, giving Plaintiffs (and potentially, other targets of the investigation) a window into the Government’s investigation that could compromise the investigation as a whole,” Tostrud wrote.
