Moore County (North Carolina) sheriff’s deputies questioned a former US Army psychological operations officer who posted on social media that she knew the motive behind the attacks on two electrical substations which left more than 40,000 households powerless, Newsweek reports. Unfortunately for the investigation, she was just a delusional conservative blowhard.
After the attacks on Saturday evening, Emily Rainey posted on her Facebook page, “The power is out in Moore County and I know why.” She later posted a photo of Sunrise Theater in Southern Pines, the location of a drag show planned for Saturday night that had to be canceled because of the power outage. She later posted a photo of the Sunrise theater with the comment, “God will not be mocked.”
On Sunday, she posted: “The Moore County Sheriff’s Office just checked in. I welcomed them to my home. Sorry they wasted their time. I told them that God works in mysterious ways and is responsible for the outage. I used the opportunity to tell them about the immoral drag show and the blasphemies screamed by its supporters. God is chastising Moore County. I thanked them for coming and wished them a good night. Thankful for the LEOs service, as always.”
Rainey, who apparently has a number of different Facebook pages because she doesn’t have a life, frequently posts MAGA-themed misinformation and threats of divine retribution, as though she thinks God is talking to her personally, must like fraudsters like Paula White, Kenneth Copeland, Jerrys Farwell (Sr. and Jr.), and Pat Robertson.
