With the nation reporting its highest number of new daily coronavirus cases since May, the United Kingdom will likely re-implement limitations on gathering sizes and other social distancing restrictions, the Washington Post reports.
The UK logged more than 2,900 new cases both Sunday and Monday, the highest levels since May 22nd. Officials say the cause of the spread has been organized house parties that violated social distancing guidelines.
Current rules in the UK allow members of two specific households to socialize regularly indoors, primarily as a way for families to help take care of elderly members. It also limits the size of any gathering to 30 people.
