The biggest item that came out of Hunter Biden countersuing legally-blind Delaware strip mall computer repair shop owner and tam aficionado John Paul Mac Isaac: Biden categorically denies ever asking Mac Isaac to repair his computer. Biden is swearing in court documents that he never dropped off computers at the shop, an assertion someone with something to hide would not do. When asked to confirm he sought to get his laptops repaired at the shop, Biden’s response is a definitive “Denied.” (See paragraphs 18 in both JPMI’s original lawsuit and Biden’s countersuit. And for you pedants, yes, the JPMI lawsuit has been updated, but I cannot link to my source for the updated [January] filing because it’s behind a paywall, so I linked to the original filing.)
Well, we got an arrest warrant for a president. Not the one we expected, but also not one that was unexpected.
A great number of GOP politicians will breathe easier when Trump’s indictment comes down, believing that it will rid the Party of Trumpism. They will be wrong. They will need to actively scrub the shit out of the Party or the maggots will fester.
Step 1 in holding Republicans (and all members of Congress) accountable: a rule that every House and Senate session start with members taking the same oath witnesses in trials take: to tell the truth. Whenever they’re acting as members of Congress, they should be sworn in under the penalty of perjury. If they’re lying in Congress, they’re lying to the American People as part of their official business.
Remember: The fact that Donald Trump slept with Stormy Daniels isn’t the crime and Alvin Bragg isn’t investigating that. Bragg also isn’t investigating the fact that Trump wanted Daniels to stay quiet about the affair to the point of paying her hush money; that’s not specifically a crime either. The alleged underlying crime is that Trump did it with money from his corporation and tried to hide the payout by claiming it was corporate legal fees; it just so happens that his illegal business expenditure also benefited his political campaign, which was unreported–making that a crime as well. So the fact that Trump enjoyed 23 seconds of pleasure with Stormy Daniels is secondary to the actual crimes.
So glad Biden solved the balloon crisis so effectively it’s flown out of the news. Quiet, quick competence.
When Trump gets indicted, I completely expect a bunch of 18-wheelers to be parked or jackknifed in front of whatever courthouse issued the warrant. There will be some demonstration from MAGAts, but (knock wood) I don’t expect a terrorist-style attack, just a lot of impotent rage from his minions.
With Lev Parnas asserting Rudy et al got the data from Hunter’s laptop from Dmitri Firtash–on top of Hunter’s court filing–the authenticity of the files given to the NY Post by Rudy is thrown fully into question.

I’m not a huge college basketball fan, but kudos to the NCAA for making March Madness the ultimate annual Cinderella story. It’s a consistent storyline, and a compelling one.
I grew up getting food from a genuine farmer’s market, not the local craft/al fresco shopping centers popular today. We had real Amish and Mennonite farmers selling their goods, and the farm-fresh cheeses were fantastic. Two favorite memories: a vendor who sold small slices of sheet cakes, so you could get 12 flavors in a box. And a penny-candy vendor who would get four dollars from my mom as we walked in, and as we left, we got a bagful of sweets to last the five kids a week. We kids would then divide it up into our individual bags and trade away what we didn’t want.
Completely went down the rabbit hole of nothing this week. Like, the philosophical, mathematical, physical science-y concepts of nothing, and how it’s likely nothing both is and is not. Learning that a vacuum is an active space, from a physics perspective, is mindblowing because it’s nothing. (… isn’t it? So what can be active if there’s nothing there?) And the idea that it’s possible to create *nothing* is paradoxical.
