A car busted through a temporary barrier and entered a road repair site on the Baltimore Beltway, ramming into the highway crew and killing six workers, the Baltimore Sun reports. The vehicle then flipped over, trapping the driver, who survived.
Police say the unidentified driver broke through a barrier that cuts off a lane of the four-lane highway after significant signage announcing the lane closing ahead. He then continued at speed into the construction workers. Police say a second driver may have been involved.
