Apparently as unaware of the 22nd Amendment as he is the rest of the Constitution, President Trump said on Friday that he will negotiate a third and possibly fourth term as president assuming he wins a second one, reports Slate.
Speaking in front of a fawning crowd who had gathered–maskless and shoulder-to-shoulder–at Minden, Nevada, Trump claimed that he was owed those additional terms because of “the way we were treated.”
“Fifty-two days from now we’re going to win Nevada, and we’re going to win four more years in the White House,” Trump whined. “And then after that, we’ll negotiate, right? Because we’re probably—based on the way we were treated—we are probably entitled to another four after that.”
The 22nd Amendment of the Constitution limits an individual to two terms in the White House.
