Three months after releasing the curriculum for Advanced Placement African American Studies that met the strict non-white-guilt, no damn CRT standards set by Republican Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, the College Board announced it will revise the curriculum after criticism from scholars who accused the Board of bowing to political pressure, the New York Times reports.
The changes to the program will be introduced in the coming months, the Board announced, saying “In embarking on this effort, access was our driving principle — both access to a discipline that has not been widely available to high school students, and access for as many of those students as possible,” the Board wrote in a statement. “Regrettably, along the way those dual access goals have come into conflict.”
In other words, the Board got caught in a spot where they wanted to sell more products, but to do so, they abandoned their academic standards to meet the needs of a racist-theory-touting Florida governor who wants to keep his state stupid.
