During an appearance Monday of Fox News host Sean Hannity’s program, House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer said he was optimistic that his investigation would be able to prove that President Joe Biden accepted bribes from foreign entities, telling Hannity there was a “lot of smoke and where there’s smoke there’s fire” after a former business associate of the president’s troubled son Hunter Biden testified to the committee earlier in the day about their interactions.
We had to try to mainstream media that lede because even in the most charitable, anodyne, ESPN SportsCenter-fucking-vanilla way of describing this summation of where Comer is at right now still screams how pathetic and sad their situation is. Six months of failure after miserable failure to make any progress whatsoever and here he is expressing “hope” that he can make a case against Biden. Show us a MAGA hatter who didn’t just want to reach into the screen and throttle Comer to death with his bare hands after watching that. It would be embarrassing to all Americans if it wasn’t much more freaking funny to those of us rooting for Biden to prevail against these assclowns.
