Two Michigan Republicans have been arraigned on charges related to tampering with voting machines as part of their attempt to undermine the state’s ballot count in the 2020 presidential election, the Detroit News reports.
Michigan special prosecutor D.J. Hilson has filed charges against former GOP Attorney General candidate Matt DePerno and former state legislator Daire Rendon relating to undue possession of a voting machine and false pretenses. The prosecutor has not announced any charges, but according to court documents, the pair was arraigned on Tuesday. They were released on $5,000 bond.
