Marian Robinson, Michelle Obama’s mother who moved into the White House after her good-for-nuthin’ son-in-law was elected President of the States, has died in Washington, a statement from the family announced Friday, NBC News reports.
Robinson moved from her Chicago home to the White House after the 2013 inauguration to care for Michelle and Barack’s two daughters, aged seven and ten at the time, while their parents took their role as First Couple. No cause of death was given, but the family said in a statement, “She passed peacefully this morning, and right now, none of us are quite sure how exactly we’ll move on without her.”
