Democratic Presidential nominee Joe Biden wants to debate incumbent republican Donald Trump before Election Day, said Cedric Richmond the co-chair of the Biden campaign today, reports ABC News.
“I know that Joe Biden wants to debate Donald Trump again. And Americans saw the disaster that Donald Trump had in the first debate. But I will tell you that we will do what we did from the beginning of this campaign and the pandemic. We will listen to the American experts and scientists — so here it’s the Cleveland Clinic — and they have set up the protocols,” Richmond told ABC News Chief White House Correspondent Jonathan Karl on Sunday.
Biden was widely viewed as the winner of the first presidential debate held September 28th. Trump was his typical loud, obnoxious and rude during the event, and he failed to address many of the questions asked by Chris Wallace, who sat in the moderator’s chair.
Trump said he would not participate in the debate scheduled for this Wednesday, October 14th because the format was changed to a remote debate due to Trump’s coronavirus diagnosis. There are continuing questions about when Trump was initially infectious and whether he or members of his campaign team had coronavirus when they attended the event, during which Trump’s family and friends refused to wear masks.
