Previewing Bob Woodward’s upcoming book “War,” CNN reports convicted felon former President Trump has spoken with his boss, Russian dictator Vladimir Putin at least seven times since leaving office in 2021, one of the fat bastard’s minions told Woodward, who writes of a scene in which Trump told an aide at Mar-a-Lago to leave the room so he could take a call with Vlad. The veteran journalist writes in 2020 Donald had “secretly sent Putin a bunch of Abbott Point of Care Covid test machines for his personal use,” after which Vlad said “Please don’t tell anybody you sent these.”
“I don’t care. Fine,” Trump said, to which Putin became emphatic, saying “No, no, I don’t want you to tell anybody because people will get mad at you, not me. They don’t care about me,” the former KGB agent continued, probably realizing better than Trump that giving away scarce American medical supplies to a hostile foreign power during a pandemic might not have been the best look.
Lol. When asked about the post-2021 calls, milkshake abortion guy Jason Miller told Woodward “Um, ah, not that, ah, not that I’m aware of. I have not heard that they’re talking, so I’d push back on that.”
Woodward writes Biden DNI Avril Haines “carefully hedged” when asked about post-presidency Trump-Putin calls. “I would not purport to be aware of all contacts with Putin. I wouldn’t purport to speak to what President Trump may or may not have done,” Haines said in her non-denial.
Further episodes in the excerpt:
💥 Lindsey Graham says Mar-a-Lago is like North Korea with how everyone treats the Orange God Emperor and that “Trump is becoming more erratic. These court cases. I think they would rattle anybody.” Graham also told Woodward that in November 2022 he warned Trump he’s “got a problem with moderate women. The people that think that the earth is flat and we didn’t go to the moon, you’ve got them. Let that go.” After telling him to let go of the 2020 election so “Jan 6th won’t be your obituary,” Graham said that a few days later Trump told him “I gave a speech today and I only mentioned the 2020 election twice!” as if “he had showed maximum restraint,” Woodward writes.
💥 “Bibi, what the fuck?” Joe Biden yelled at Israeli dictator Benjamin Netanyahu in July after an Israeli airstrike killed a top Hezbollah military commander and three civilians in Beirut, per Woodward. “You know the perception of Israel around the world increasingly is that you’re a rogue state, a rogue actor,” said Biden to the scumbag. Earlier this year Biden had complained “That son of a bitch, Bibi Netanyahu, he’s a bad guy. He’s a bad fucking guy!” He ain’t wrong.
💥 In October 2022, Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin told then-Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoygu he knew what they were up to when the Russian started pushing a story about the Ukrainians plotting to detonate a “dirty bomb” in Moscow: It was their own pretext for using a nuclear weapon in Ukraine. “We don’t believe you,” Austin said firmly in response, according to Woodward. “We don’t see any indications of this, and the world will see through this. Don’t do it,” to which” Shoygu said “I understand.” It was the second time that week Shoygu had cowered to Austin. Two days earlier “I don’t take kindly to being threatened,” Shoigu said in response to Austin’s warnings about using nukes. “Mr Minister,” said Austin, according to Woodward, “I am the leader of the most powerful military in the history of the world. I don’t make threats.”
💥 Biden comiserated with George W Bush after the Afghanistan withdrawal in a phone call. “Oh boy, I can understand what you’re going through,” Dubya said. “I got fucked by my intel people, too.”
💥 “Should never have picked Garland,” Biden once told an ally. “This is never going to fucking go away,” said Joe, not about Trump, but Hunter’s criminal cases.
💥 Secretary of State Tony Blinken says he helped talk Biden into stepping aside, and gave an insight into his decision to anoint Vice President Kamala Harris as his successor. “I think it probably harkens back to the way Biden felt he didn’t get that from Obama back in 2016. He was disappointed. He felt that, you know, as his vice president that’s the normal and natural order,” said Blinken.
💥 While Biden was sliding toward the exit, Harris called a friend of Joe’s to say “I’m calling to ask you – to really beg you, actually – could you please talk to the president more than you talk to him? Your president really loves you. You should talk to him more often than you do.” Woodward then writes that “The Biden associate was candid with the vice president. Look, one of the biggest reasons that Biden calls me, the associate said, is I provide him a level of comfort to the point where he can swear freely about ‘what a fucking asshole Joe Manchin is.'” Harris laughed and said “That might be the only reason that he still really is comfortable with me to a point because he knows that I’m the only person around who knows how to properly pronounce the word motherfucker.”
