Federal child trafficking arrests and convictions fell to a nine-year low during fiscal year 2019 and continued to be low in FY 2020, dropping to the lowest levels since 2012, a new study by Syracuse University reports.
Just 180 people were prosecuted for child trafficking-related crimes in FY 2020, with 200 others arrested but not prosecuted. The number of child sex crimes dismissed from prosecution reached an all-time high in FY 2017, the majority of which was part of Trump’s first months in office. During that time, 323 cases, or 54% of those arrested, had charges dropped.
The QAnon conspiracy cabal supports the campaign of Donald Trump because, they claim, that Democrats, Hollywood stars and the odd sports figure are behind an all-powerful ring of child-traffickers and cannibals who kidnap children to slay them and eat their organs…. or some such nonsense.
However, looking at the Trump Administration’s history of arrests and prosecutions, the first three years of Trump’s governance saw more than 300 cases in which charges were dropped each year.
