California governor Gavin Newsome has announced that the state will rollback its reopening efforts in the wake of increasing coronavirus cases, according to reporting by The New York Times.
The entire state will have multiple categories of businesses closed, Newsom said in a tweet.

In a decision impacting 80% of the state’s population, at least 30 of the state’s hardest hit counties will have other businesses closed, including fitness centers, places of worship, hair salons and barber shops.
California’s 7-day running average of new cases has risen daily since mid-May, but the spike has been alarming in the past three weeks.
