Anticipating an increasing demand as states and localities re-implement stay-at-home orders as coronavirus cases spike around the nation, many of the nation’s supermarket chains are reinstituting limits on purchases of toilet paper and other products, CNN reports.
Kroger, Giant Food and H-E-B stores continue to have supply chain problems for toilet paper, paper towels, disinfecting wipes and hand sanitizer. These products are highly sought after as coronavirus spikes and flu season approaches.
Per CNN, around 19% of paper products such as toilet paper and paper towels and 16% of household cleaning products were out of stock during the week ending November 1, according to data from market research firm IRI.
