A Frito-Lay chip factory in Vancouver, Washington has been closed due to a coronavirus outbreak that has sickened 17 people at the snack food factory, Oregon Live reported.
“We can confirm that a limited number of employees at our Vancouver, Wash., Frito-Lay facility have tested positive for COVID-19 within the past 14 days,” the company wrote in an emailed statement.
The plant will close while it is being sterilized, and should reopen over the week, but don’t worry: there are plenty of chips already in the distribution line from more than 30 production facilities in the nation. It’s famed products are Fritos, Cheetos, Doritos and Rold Gold pretzels.
