The FBI arrested a domestic terrorist who took part in the January 6th coup attempt at the Capitol after tracking him down because he was wearing his phone number on the back of his jacket, Insider reports via Yahoo News.
Troy Faulkner participated in the attack at the Capitol bedecked in a coat emblazoned with “Faulkner Painting” and the business’s phone number on the back. Faulkner is the owner of Faulkner Painting in Columbus, Ohio and he was recorded breaking a window at the Capitol.
Faulkner was arrested Friday after an FBI agent confirmed his identify via his Facebook account, where he posted conspiracy theories regarding Hunter Biden’s laptop and images in support of “White Lives Matter.”
According to a text message exchange with the local Patch site, “Faulkner said he didn’t plan on storming the Capitol when he travelled to Washington D.C. He said he was ‘shot in the chest by police’ and ‘shrapnel hit my face’ and he grew angry that police used tear gas to stave off the invaders. He said he didn’t know what police shot him with.”
“It seemed the cops were antagonizing us and letting them straight into the building in the front so I believe it was all set up for the Trump people,” he told Patch. “I knew I shouldn’t have kicked in the window. I was upset and wasn’t thinking rationally.
“I don’t glorify what I did, nor am I proud of it,” he said.
