Former Secretary of Energy and Texas Governor Rick Perry promoted “nuculer” compact fusion reactors as the answer to future US power problems like those hitting Texas during a massive winter snowstorm.

The only problem: there is no such working device as a compact nuclear fusion reactors. It’s a theoretical power source. Even Lockheed’s famed Skunk Works hasn’t gotten one to work yet.
