As much of the country is dealing with a massive winter storm, Brunswick County, North Carolina was hit by a suspected tornado overnight as temperatures spiked up twenty degrees overnight as a front rolled through the area.
NBC News reports three people were killed, ten injured and at least 50 homes were damaged as the tornado hit just before midnight 45 miles southwest of Wilmington.
Thousands were left without power in the county, where temperatures were expected to hit 70 degrees Fahrenheit Tuesday after dropping into the 30s Monday.
