A boat carrying more than two dozen people capsized Sunday morning off the coast of San Diego resulting in at least two dead and 23 hospitalized, CNN reports.
The San Diego Fire Rescue Department tweeted that they retrieved 25 people from the water. Two people were reportedly dead and 23 were taken to area hospitals. According to a fire department spokesperson, three of those hospitalized were in “very urgent status.”
According to the fire department, SDFD firefighters and lifeguards along with Federal Fire, US Coast Guard and other local agencies responded to the call, with air support coming from aircraft of the US Border Patrol.
