In this parallel universe, Fox News advocates for the Nanny State, where government employees are responsible for the actions and character of children, not the parents. Or, at least, that’s what happens when the mass shooter is a white kid.
“Who’s better positioned to evaluate the psychological state of this child? The parents with no professional training or resources, or the school that has all that training and resources and by the way, spends vastly more time watching that kid’s behavior, conduct and interactions with each, with other students, with other teachers in the course of the school day than the parents do,” says Fox News guest, lawyer and podcaster Andrew Branca says defending the parents of Oxford, Michigan shooter Ethan Crumbley. “Nyeah,” the witch hostess drones.
“Anybody who’s had a 15-year-old knows, you don’t see much of that 15-year-old as a parent.”
