The Marshall Fire destroyed hundreds of homes in suburbs between Denver and Boulder, leading to the evacuation of nearly 30,000 people reports NPR. Snowfall Friday night into Saturday morning helped to put out the blaze. Two people have been reported missing as a result of the fire, and rescue workers are currently searching debris of their homes for remains. The sudden drop in temperatures is a challenge for individuals returning to homes that have no electricity or running water as a result of damage done to municipal lines by the fire.
