Third-string Pennsylvania GOP Senate candidate Everett Stern alleged to the House January 6th Select Committee in November that disgraced traitor Mike Flynn attempted to recruit Stern for a racket Flynn was running to coerce Republicans into backing 2020 election audits, The Guardian reports. Stern’s warnings were picked up by National Zero from substacker Seth Abramson back on November 1st, 2021, but otherwise went largely unnoticed since. Stern provided evidence to the committee of a Flynn-backed plot to dig up dirt on pro-impeachment Pennsylvania Republicans Senator Pat Toomey (whom Stern is running to replace) and Congressman Brian Fitzpatrick.
Another possible connection here is a July 2021 report from the Washington Post in which former Trump-appointed US Attorney for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania William McSwain, who was looking to launch a campaign for Governor, publicly attacking former Trump Attorney General Bill Barr, alleging Barr had ordered him to “stand down” on investigating election fraud in Philadelphia, something McSwain had privately admitted to Barr that he knew was bullshit but said it anyway to gain Trump’s support, or at least neutrality, in a campaign. Whether Flynn was somehow involved in pressuring McSwain to publicly say something he knew to be untrue is unknown, however it would seem like an interesting line of inquiry for the Committee to pursue.
