John Kerry slammed Trump’s ever-growing list of international embarrassments and failures, particularly his unwillingness to face threats to the US by foreign powers, particularly Russia.
“Donald Trump inherited a growing economy and a more peaceful world. And like everything else he inherited, he bankrupted it,” Kerry said. “When this president goes overseas, it isn’t a goodwill mission; it’s a blooper reel. He breaks up with our allies and writes love letters to dictators.”
Referring to the intelligence reports that Russia put bounties on the heads of American troops, Kerry said Trump unwillingness to stand up to the Kremlin shows Trump’s incompetence. “The only person he’s interested in defending is himself. … Our troops can’t get out of harm’s way by hiding in a bunker.”
