German federal police executed a raid on the Frankfurt global headquarters of corrupt blood money laundromat Deutsche Bank on Friday, Bloomberg reports. Cops took documents and evidence relevant to an ongoing investigation into the bank’s involvement in – surprise! – money laundering.
“This is an investigative measure by the Frankfurt public prosecutor’s office in connection with suspicious activity reports filed by the bank. Deutsche Bank is fully cooperating with the authorities,” some asshole public relations flack who obviously can’t find work at a more reputable company wrote in a statement. Shares of the bank’s stock fell 3.8% on news of the raid, which was reportedly smaller in scale than the 2018 storming of the same building, in which at least 170 cops carted out boxes and boxes of papers in another money laundering investigation.
