A man so angry with Florida Republican Congressman Matt Gaetz for his involvement in the January 6th attack on the Constitution that he threatened him with physical harm received a sentence of six months of home detention, Politico reports.
Fifty-nine year old Eugene Huelsman made threats against Gaetz in a profanity-laced voicemail left at the alleged child sex trafficker’s Congressional office. “Tell him to watch his back, tell him to watch his children,” Huelsman said in the Jan. 9, 2021, message. “I’m coming for him … I’m gonna fucking kill him. … I’m gonna put a bullet in you and I’m gonna put a bullet in one of your fucking kids too.”
Hundreds of people voiced similar threats to members of Congress during the January 6th domestic terrorist attack on the Capitol against various members including Nancy Pelosi, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Chuck Shumer. The Republican terrorists also threatened to hang Mike Pence, a sentiment that was reportedly met with approval by Donald Trump, an alleged co-conspirator.
