Reports from Trump’s Bedminister, New Jersey golf club describe a poorly attended event, generating little excitement and even lower ticket prices, but nobody really cares because the event was simply a way for the Saudis to line Donald Trump’s pockets with cash.
Golf Digest writer Joel Beall posted the photograph above on Twitter showing the largest concentration of fans at the event huddled around Donald Trump, who would alternatively sit in his golf cart or on a perch at the 16th tee. Another photo shows literally no one at a bar in the “fan village.”
Tickets for the final Sunday round–the day when the exciting end of most tournaments attracts the largest crowds–are going for as little as $8 each on resale site StubHub; . They sold originally for $120.
