The man who was in an SUV used in kidnapping of the 34-year-old granddaughter of the Tennessee billionaire early Friday morning as she went for a jog in Memphis has been detained and his vehicle located, but the woman is still missing, CNN reports.
Liza Fletcher, a mother of two who works as a kindergarten teacher at an Episcopal school in Memphis, was reportedly thrown into a dark SUV at around 4:30 a.m. Friday morning. She was seen on a security camera near the University of Memphiswearing a pink jogging top and purple running shorts. Her cell phone was found at the scene of the kidnapping. Police are not saying definitively if or how the detained man was involved in the kidnapping.
Fletcher’s grandparents own Orgill, a privately-owned multi-billion dollar hardware distribution company that provide services to home improvement stores and construction companies around the country. Her family has offered a $50,000 reward for information to help her recovery.
