Police in Saskatchewan are searching for two suspects responsible for a stabbing spree that left ten dead and 15 wounded covering 13 locations in two communities, the Associated Press reports.
The stabbings took place on the James Smith Cree Nation and in the village of Weldon, located about 200 miles north of Regina. Police believe the victims were chosen randomly as the suspects moved through the communities. Police have identified the two suspects: Damien Sanderson and Myles Sanderson (relationship unknown).
Police are on alert for the pair because they have a concern they may be headed to the Mosiac Stadium in Regina, where the Saskatchewan Roughriders will host the Winnipeg Blue Bombers in an annual rivalry football game. A request for comment from the National Knifle Association has gone unanswered, but they said on their Twitter account the government can’t ban knives ’cause then only bad guys would have knives. And chefs. And bad ass chefs.
