At least six people have been shot at an independent K-12 school in east Oakland, USA Today reports, with all six being transported to hospitals in unknown conditions. The sheriff reports that there is no longer a threat, but the condition and identity of the shooter were not disclosed.
The shooting happened at a campus of buildings that house four independent schools, including Sojourner Truth Independent Study, BayTech Charter School, and Rudsdale Newcomer High School. It is not clear if one school or one class was targeted.
