Starbucks bans South Korean politicians’ names from orders

Global caffeine slop purveyor Starbucks this week announced that customers in South Korea cannot use the names Lee Jae-myung, Kim Moon-soo, Lee Jun-seok, Kwon Young-kook, Hwang Kyo-ahn, or Song Jin-ho for their drink orders because baristas are sick of having to shill for the presidential candidates when calling the customers to get their mocha-frappa-fuck-a-lino, NBC News reports.

“Honestly, setting a nickname like that doesn’t seem like an easy or effective way to make a political statement,” customer Hyunwoo Park, 25, said when asked about the new policy. Young-Eh Choi, 60, was pissed. “It’s just a nickname — I think people should have the freedom to choose their own. It’s my right, so restricting it feels like too much,” said Choi, his free speech infringed upon by Starbucks.

It does not appear from the article that Yoon Suk Yeol, the recently-deposed now-former president potentially facing the death penalty for insurrection after a failed attempt to impose martial law after getting pilled on right wing conspiracy shit from YouTube, was among the names banned. Probably not that many people using it. Yoon’s successor candidate, Kim Moon-soo will face Democratic Party candidate Lee Jae-myung – who narrowly lost to Yoon in 2022 – in a special presidential election on June 3rd. Lee’s got a solid-ish lead but Kim’s closing the gap and is working on one of the four scrub candidates to get him to pull an RFK Jr and help consolidate a coalition.

Harvard sues Trump regime over foreign student ban

Harvard University on Friday filed a federal civil complaint against the Trump Reich, accusing them of violating the college’s First Amendment in the abrupt Thursday announcement that dog murderer Kristi Noem’s Department of Homeland Security had abruptly yanked Harvard’s ability to admit new foreign students as well as forcing current ones to transfer, the New York Times reports.

“We condemn this unlawful and unwarranted action,” wrote Harvard President Dr Garber a letter to Harvard’s community announcing the lawsuit. “It imperils the futures of thousands of students and scholars across Harvard and serves as a warning to countless others at colleges and universities throughout the country who come to America to pursue their education and fulfill their dreams.”

Helps to have a big time law school on campus when you need to bang out a 72-page federal civil complaint against the government of the United States of America in less than 19 hours.

Luna’s 2022 primary rival gets three years for death threats

“US District Judge William F Jung today sentenced William Robert Braddock, III (41, St Petersburg) to three years in federal prison for interstate transmission of threat to injure. Braddock pled guilty on February 3, 2025. According to court documents and evidence discussed in open court, in 2021 Braddock and Victim-1 were candidates in the primary election to represent the 13th Congressional District of Florida in the United States House of Representatives. Braddock viewed Victim-1, the Republican party frontrunner, as his only obstacle to winning that race. For months, Braddock disparaged Victim-1 with her peers and attempted to inject himself into her life.”

“During a June 2021 telephone call with Victim-2, a private citizen and acquaintance of Victim-1, Braddock threatened to have Victim-1 murdered if she continued to poll well in the race for the 13th District. Specifically, Braddock threatened, in part, to ‘call up my Russian-Ukrainian hit squad’ and make Victim-1 ‘disappear.’ Braddock further stated, ‘I will be the next congressman for this District, period. End of discussion. Anybody going up against me is fucking ignorant for doing so. [Victim-1]’s ignorant so I don’t have a problem taking her out, but I’m not going to do that dirty work myself obviously.’ In November 2021, Braddock flew to Thailand on a one-way ticket, and ultimately settled in the area of Santa Rosa, Laguna, Philippines. He remained in the Philippines until self-surrendering to authorities in Manila in June 2023. Braddock remained in foreign custody until being transported to the United States in September 2024,” says a Thursday Justice Department press release.

What it doesn’t say is that “Victim-1” was batshit maniac now-Congresswoman Anna Paulina Luna.

AAPL down in premarket trading

Shares of iconic forbidden fruit-themed tech company Apple dropped over 2 percent in premarket trading Friday morning after a world-renowned business guru posted “I have long ago informed Tim Cook of Apple that I expect their iPhone’s [sic] that will be sold in the United States of America will be manufactured and built in the US, not India, or anyplace else. If that is not the case, a Tariff of at least 25 percent must be paid by Apple to the US. Thank your for your attention to this matter!”

More seriously this is fucking hilarious because four days ago the Wall Street Journal reported that Apple saw how Walmart and Mattel had incurred the fat bastard’s wrath and wanted to price them in to this year’s new iPhone lineup by pretending that some unspecified new features had justified the increased cost. They were going to that kind of length to maintain profitability while not pissing Trump off. Then this morning he spares them that work and straight up tells Americans that their iPhones are going to cost 25 percent more – AFTER losing his shit at Amazon, Walmart, and Mattel for trying to be more open with consumers about who to blame. Awesome 5D checkmate, Donald.

The fat fuck kept the rampage going with “The European Union, which was formed for the primary purpose of taking advantage of the United States on TRADE, has been very difficult to deal with.”

“Their powerful Trade Barriers, Vat Taxes, ridiculous Corporate Penalties, Non-Monetary Trade Barriers, Monetary Manipulations, unfair and unjustified lawsuits against Americans Companies, and more, have led to a Trade Deficit with the US of more than $250,000,000 a year, a number which is totally unacceptable. Our discussions with them are going nowhere! Therefore, I am recommending a straight 50 percent Tariff on the European Union, starting on June 1, 2025. There is no Tariff if the product is built or manufactured in the United States. Thank you for your attention to this matter!”

Windmill truther implies taking them down a condition of trade deal

“Our negotiated deal with the United Kingdom is working out well for all. I strongly recommend to them, however, that in order to get their Energy Costs down, they stop with the costly and unsightly windmills, and incentivize modernized drilling in the North Sea, where large amounts of oil lay waiting to be taken. A century of drilling left, with Aberdeen as the hub. The old fashioned tax system disincentivizes drilling, rather than the opposite. UK’s Energy Costs would go WAY DOWN, and fast!” posted convicted felon President Trump on Friday, seemingly implying that the removal of windmills may come up as a condition of trade negotiations. Also likely again stupidly believing the UK’s “windfall taxes” imposed on oil extractors has something to do with wind turbines.

US tourism revenue to drop by $8.5 billion in 2025: forecast

“Travelers make choices: where and when to travel, when to book, and how long to stay and importantly, perceptions of the US matter. Sentiment-headwinds are negatively impacting inbound travel in our latest inbound forecast update (May 12 interim update), we maintain our expectations of a 8.7 percent decline in US international arrivals for the year overall (compared to a 9.4 percent decline in our prior forecast released March 27). Factors contributing to sentiment: Headwinds include Trump administration posturing and policy announcements, such as ‘Liberation Day’ tariffs across long-standing trade partners, as well as media coverage focusing on border security incidents and national travel advisories. We continue to expect the largest declines in visitation from Canada (-20.2 percent) and Western Europe (-5.8 percent). We forecast international visitor spending to fall $8.5 billion (-4.7 percent) relative to last year (compared to a 5.0 percent decline in our prior forecast),” says data firm Tourism Economics in a forecast released Friday.

“He helicoptered in, he helicoptered out”

The MAGA crypto chodes who spent roughly at least $1.8 million on $TRUMP shitcoins were kind of disappointed with how Thursday night’s big event – billed as a “Gala Dinner” – turned out, with one telling NBC News the fat fuck “helicoptered in, he helicoptered out. We didn’t really get to shake hands with him or anything,” and another tweeting in Japanese that “After giving a speech of just under 30 minutes, President Trump danced as he left the room… The initial explanation said that we would go around and take commemorative photos at each table, but for some reason that was no longer the case. That’s a bit disappointing.” Kind of a running theme with Trump fans these days.

Pennsylvania man voted for Trump because there were too many Puerto Rican flags around his town, still unhappy six months later

For the mainstream media’s five millionth or so “Let’s go on a little safari into MAGAmerica to talk to these morons” article, CNN this week went to Allentown, Pennsylvania and encountered 55 year-old Robert Harder who voted for the first time in his life last November, casting a ballot for convicted felon President Trump because “There’s no law and order anymore. The smoking marijuana stuff, that is getting out of hand. Go watch TV. You have men kissing and everything else and all the transgenders. You didn’t have that before. You know, there is a God. I’m Catholic.”

CNN then writes Harder “says there are too many Puerto Rican flags around Allentown, too few schools teaching cursive and beginning with the Pledge of Allegiance,” then goes back to quoting him directly: “I was just so disgusted. Just how everything in this world, you know it is going to crap.”

Has anything gotten better for him? Fuck no, but at least he admits it. “My generation, it’s not going to (positively) impact. It is going to hurt us,” said Harder, whose company ProDart makes wooden darts and dartboards in an Allentown industrial park. “In the future, for the next generation, it might possibly help them out. But it’s impacting the people that are here now today… in a not-good way.”

QAdulteress says tough shit to 19 year-old facing deportation

“She was brought to the United States at just four years old. Why didn’t her family ever pursue a legal path to stay in this country? Today, there are currently 1.6 million American citizens living and thriving in Mexico legally. But if I moved to Mexico illegally with my children when they were young, Mexican authorities would enforce their laws. I would be arrested and deported. That’s how sovereignty and the rule of law work. I’m grateful the Trump Administration is upholding our nation’s immigration laws and keeping families together, it’s the right thing to do,” Marjie continued.

College student Ximena Cristobal, 19, who was born in Mexico but has lived in Georgia since she was four, spent weeks in ICE custody after she was detained over a traffic ticket that was dismissed until a judge finally granted her bond on Wednesday. Who knows what’s going to happen but it’s hard to see how it doesn’t end with her getting deported. She might not be family-oriented enough.

Disney worker unions rip company for fucking over Venezuelans

“As unions committed to the dignity, rights, and well-being of all working people, Service Trades Council Unions and its affiliates (Unite Here, TCU, UFCW, Teamsters, and IATSE) stands in unwavering solidarity with the Walt Disney World cast members whose Temporary Protected Status was stripped away due to the unjust actions of the current administration. These workers – our colleagues, friends, and neighbors – have contributed immensely to the success of the Walt Disney Company and to the vibrant culture of Central Florida. For decades, TPS holders have filled essential roles with professionalism and pride, helping make the magic real for millions of guests. They are not temporary in any meaningful sense. They are part of the Disney family, and they are part of our union family,” says a Facebook post from Unite Here Local 737 Hotel and Restaurant Workers Union, responding to Disney putting 45 Venezuelan refugee employees getting pre-fired on Tuesday.

“The cancellation of TPS was not just a policy decision; it was a cruel and calculated attack on immigrant communities. It disrupted lives, endangered families, and betrayed the promise of protection made by the United States to people fleeing war, natural disaster, and political upheaval.”

Federal judge blocks regime from any action on student visas

While not related to that fucking bullshit they just pulled with Harvard, a California federal judge on Thursday blocked the Trump Reich from terminating the legal statuses of or detaining international students nationwide, NBC News reports. “At each turn in this and similar litigation across the nation, Defendants have abruptly changed course to satisfy courts’ expressed concerns,” wrote Oakland-based US District Judge Jeffrey S White. “It is unclear how this game of whack-a-mole will end unless Defendants are enjoined from skirting their own mandatory regulations.”

Houthis fire another two missiles at Israel

The Yemen-based Houthi militia on Thursday fired two missiles at David Ben Gurion Airport in Tel-Aviv, Israel, 18 days after convicted felon President Trump had declared victory over the group and that they had agreed to stop this kind of bullshit, the Times of Israel reports. Both of the missiles were intercepted and no damage was reported but that’s not the point of reminding everyone that the fat fuck had acted like they had surrendered to his strength. This is at least the third time the Houthis have tried to strike Israel since Trump’s “victory” that accomplished nothing.

Regime bans Harvard from admitting foreign students

Harvard University administrators tell the New York Times that on Thursday they received a letter from dog murderer Kristi Noem reading “I am writing to inform you that effective immediately, Harvard University’s Student and Exchange Visitor Program certification is revoked.”

Maybe the letter was longer, but if it wasn’t it’s interesting how the Trump Reich neglected to mention that “antisemitism” was the pretext for this crusade against the prestigious university.

Fat bastard rages over getting caught defying court order

“A Federal Judge in Boston, who knew absolutely nothing about the situation, or anything else, has ordered that EIGHT of the most violent criminals on Earth curtail their journey to South Sudan, and instead remain in Djibouti. He would not allow these monsters to proceed to their final destination.”

“This is not the premise under which I was elected, which was to PROTECT our Nation. The Judges are absolutely out of control, they’re hurting our Country, and they know nothing about particular situations, or what they are doing – And this must change, IMMEDIATELY! Hopefully the Supreme Court of the United States will put an END to the quagmire caused by the Radical Left.”

“If this is not worked out quickly, and the World is watching, our Country will be under siege again, with hundreds of thousands of hardened criminals, ‘BREAKING DOWN THE WALLS.’ We were also forced to leave behind, in order to watch these hardened thugs, a large number of ICE Officers, who would otherwise be in the United States, protecting our Citizens,” posted convicted felon President Trump on Thursday, along with images of the men sent to South Sudan with their convictions.

Comer continues work to hold Biden Administration accountable

🚨🚨🚨 House Oversight Chairman James Comer on Thursday announced yet another major investigation into the Biden White House, this one demanding answers from top aides over the 46th president’s state of mind when they used a device employed by US Presidents since the Truman Administration to replicate his signature on certain documents. Comer, a dogged and determined foe of Biden for years, did not say whether he felt the usage of the autopen was an impeachable offense but observers would be foolish to dismiss the possibility that the investigation could lead to the prize which has long eluded the persistent Kentuckian Congressman. Stay tuned.
