The vessel was carrying 3,048 total vehicles, with 70 being fully electric vehicles and 681 being hybrid vehicles. The vessel also reportedly had 350 metric tons of marine gas oil and 1,530 metric tons of very low sulfur fuel oil (VLSFO) onboard.”

Per ABC 7 the female lifeguard was impaled through the shoulder and was hospitalized for surgery to remove it on Wednesday morning. Hopefully there’s no permanent damage. It’s unclear if the umbrella’s canvas bore an American flag-themed pattern to it.
