Clearly not training for a reboot of his Superman universe because he has no plans to fit into a onesie, the guy who was on that show from the ’90s Dean Cain tells conservative bro Jesse Watters that he’s not going to back off from his endorsement of Donald Trump because he’s “not that smart.”
A bipartisan group of leaders from Congressional committees have reportedly hammered out the major parts of an agreement to protect Americans’ personal data, the Washington Post reports, addressing the issues of a growing online society where information is stored and used in various places.
Republican Congresswoman Cathy McMorris Rodgers, the chair of the House Energy and Commerce Committee, and Democratic Senator Maria Cantwell, the chair of the Senate Commerce Committee, are expected to announce the deal next week. The legislation would require protections for consumers’ data in the same way personal health and financial information are regulated. This would provide consumers greater rights regarding companies selling their personal data.
Retired Supreme Court Justice Stephen Breyer announced in an interview this week that he expects to be back on the bench as an appeals court judge in the First Circuit in Boston this fall, NBC News reports.
“I’m a judge. If you take senior status, you remain a judge, and not only you remain a judge in terms of status, but probably next fall I will go over and sit with the First Circuit,” he said on the “Politics War Room” podcast released Thursday. “So I’m still an active judge.”
It would be unusual but not unheard of for a former Justice to return to work after retiring from the Supreme Court; former Justices have become ambassadors, political appointees in the Executive branch and even a presidential nominee. Many others have taken cases in private practice. This is believed, however, to be the first instance of a retired Justice returned to the bench.
Marjorie Taylor Greene’s “little bitch” Lauren Boebert’s path to the GOP nomination for Colorado’s 4th Congressional District seat–a deep red district previously held by Ken Buck, who retired and promptly exited stage left–got a little bit easier after her top primary challenger failed to get 30% of the votes at a GOP district delegate meeting held in Pueblo, the Colorado Sun reports.
Former GOP state senator Ted Harvey received only 25.4% of the 530 votes at the district’s nominating assembly on Friday, meaning he’s off the ballot in the upcoming primary. Because of some very weird rules in the Party nominating process, two other candidates who finished Harvey, however, will appear on June 25th primary ballot. Because the other two candidates collected 1,500 signatures from Republicans in the district AND they got more than 10% of the delegates, former state senator Jerry Sonnenberg and state legislator Richard Holtorf will be slotted behind Boebert on the ballot. Harvey opted not to collect the signatures, so he needed to get support of 30% of the delegates at the nominating assembly.
AFTERSHOCK HITS NEW YORK CITY
NEW YORK CITY HAS BEEN HIT WITH AN AFTERSHOCK!!! IT WAS LIKE ALMOST AS STRONG AS THE FIRST EARTHQUAKE BUT IT DIDN’T LAST AS LONG!!! WE ARE SO SHAKEN! IT IS HORRIBLE!!!
Former Trump White House economic something and recovering cocaine addict Larry Kudlow on Friday at first declared that there’s no way the Federal Reserve Bank cuts interest rates given the March job numbers before declaring that Trump and Republicans would “pound” Fed chair Jay Powell if he does it anyway. Impotence of the threat given that Powell has to know he’s going to get fired no matter what if Trump gets reelected and probably doesn’t give a shit if he or Ted Cruz complain about him being “political,” it’s still pretty ridiculous to see Kudlow expressing preemptive frustration over what would be extremely good economic news after spending years whining about the economy. Almost like it’s some kind of a running theme this election year.
“President Trump respectfully submits this memorandum and accompanying Affirmation1 in support of his motion for recusal based on due process under the state and federal constitutions, Judiciary Law § 14, as well as 22 NYCRR §§ 100.2 and 100.3. Your Honor’s daughter, Loren Merchan, has a direct financial interest in these proceedings by virtue of her ownership stake and leadership role at Authentic Campaigns, Inc. Based on public disbursements data, Authentic, which services exclusively Democrat clients, is the #21 ranked vendor in the country in connection with the 2024 election. In 2019, Ms Merchan made public statements during a podcast regarding a conversation with Your Honor that reflect bias against President Trump from both speakers in that exchange.”
“Consistent with that conversation, President Biden and Vice President Harris are long-term clients of Authentic and Ms Merchan, along with many other politicians and entities who are actively campaigning and advocating against President Trump right now. At least six of Authentic’s clients used fundraising solicitations that referenced this case around the time of the Indictment, President Trump’s arraignment, or following the Court’s denial of President Trump’s recusal motion. Authentic’s clients disbursed more than $18 million to the company between the return of the Indictment and the present. It is industry practice that Authentic would receive percentages based on funds raised and recipient engagement, and Ms Merchan has had an ownership stake and leadership role in the company while this case is pending,” write fat former President Trump’s lawyers in yet another bitchy complaint to Manhattan Judge Juan Merchan about his daughter.
Taking heat over his campaign sending out a fundraising email calling Capitol rioters “activists” who have been “stripped of their Constitutional liberties,” Robert F Kennedy Jr on Friday issued a statement to “clarify his views on the events of January 6, 2021.” It’s clarifying alright:
January 6 is one of the most polarizing topics on the political landscape. I am listening to people of diverse viewpoints on it in order to make sense of the event and what followed. I want to hear every side. It is quite clear that many of the January 6 protestors broke the law in what may have started as a protest but turned into a riot. Because it happened with the encouragement of President Trump, and in the context of his delusion that the election was stolen from him, many people see it not as a riot but as an insurrection. I have not examined the evidence in detail, but reasonable people, including Trump opponents, tell me there is little evidence of a true insurrection. They observe that the protestors carried no weapons, had no plans or ability to seize the reins of government, and that Trump himself had urged them to protest ‘peacefully.’ Like many reasonable Americans, I am concerned about the possibility that political objectives motivated the vigor of the prosecution of the J6 defendants, their long sentences, and their harsh treatment. That would fit a disturbing pattern of the weaponization of government agencies the DoJ, the IRS, the SEC, the FBI, etc against political opponents.
Emphasis ours to highlight the Glenn Greenwald/Matt Taibbi-level weaseldom of the “I do not support Trump, but…” shit we’ve all come to know and hate these last few years.
President Joe Biden will address the public from Baltimore Harbor on Friday about the collapse of the Francis Scott Key bridge and the plan to get it rebuilt as quickly as possible.
Small faced MAGA shitbag Charlie Kirk reports that Nebraska State Senate Speaker John Arch has declared that “time for adding bills to bills is over” in this legislative session, meaning that the plan to change the state’s electoral college vote regime may be doomed if Governor Jim Pillen does not call a special session before November. “Imagine citing a procedural technicality to avoid taking an easy step that could prove instrumental in… saving civilization itself,” replied Stephen Miller.
House Oversight Democrats Jared Moskowitz and Gerry Connolly on Friday introduced a bill to rename a federal prison in Miami to the Donald J Trump Federal Correctional Institution, CBS’s Scott MacFarlane reports on the natural response to the MAGA bill to rename Dulles Airport for Donald.
“Any reference in any law, regulation, map, document, paper, or other record of the United States to the institution referred to in subsection (a) shall be considered to be a reference to the ‘Donald J Trump Federal Correctional Institution,'” the bill states, echoing the language of the Dulles bill.

Ron Klain to coach Biden on debates
Former Biden White House Chief of Staff Ron Klain will be headed back to work for his old boss this year to help Joe shake off some rust before his general election debates with disgraced former President Trump, Politico Playbook reports on a sign that Joe does in fact plan on facing off against his mortal enemy in front of the American electorate. Playbook notes that incumbent presidents have for a generation decisively lost in their first debate against their challengers, a pattern we’re not going to dispute so much as put an asterisk on, because Joe Biden in 2020, Mitt Romney in 2012, John Kerry in 2004 had all gotten their muscles trained in primary debates over the year beforehand. Trump has not. He went out of his way to avoid being exposed. He’s just as rusty.
Fat former President Trump’s Truth Social account on Friday continued posting articles about Manhattan Judge Juan Merchan’s daughter after also doing so on Wednesday, in what should be an obvious violation of the terms of the gag order imposed and then expanded by Merchan… if we’re going by what happened when Trump violated the one imposed by Judge Arthur Engoron.

Just what we needed after being terrorized by the earth itself and then finding out we’re okay was 39 minutes later getting the blaring alert tone coming out of nowhere. Fucking idiots.
In related the news it appears the quake was centered less than a mile from fat former President Trump’s golf club in Jersey. Which means God must be trying to tell him and his fans something.
SHIT! EVERYTHING JUST SHOOK! FUCK! OH MY GOD! IT’S THE BIGGEST EARTHQUAKE TO HIT NEW YORK IN A LONG ASS TIME! THE CITY IS COMPLETELY… fine. Internet is still on…
The US Geological Survey reports the quake was a 4.7 magnitude centered 5 km deep and 7 km north-northeast of Whitehouse Station, New Jersey, about 40 miles west of Manhattan.
Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer on Friday informed members that the chamber “will receive the managers as they present the articles of impeachment for Secretary Mayorkas to the Senate. Please be advised that all Senators will be sworn in as jurors in the trial the day after the articles are presented, and Senate President Pro Tempore Patty Murray will preside. I remind Senators that your presence next week is essential,” but not saying whether he would dismiss the articles.
He didn’t not say it either. Either way it’ll be a good opportunity for Senate Dems to remind Americans that fat former President Trump commanded Republicans to do nothing on border security to avoid handing Biden a “win” and so he could keep campaigning on it as an issue.
You will not be surprised to learn the House Freedom Caucasians are demanding that any bill to fund a rebuild of the Francis Scott Key Bridge in Baltimore Harbor be approved in exchange for Biden lifting the pause on exports of natural gas, that money allocated for the bridge be offset with budget cuts, all “burdensome regulations” like environmental studies etc be waived for the rebuild, and the bill be “limited to the physical structure repairs with a federal nexus,” Axios reports.
These fucking people ruining our goddamned jokes again and again. Moore on Thursday also just completely erased 2020 from a chart comparing household incomes under Joe and Donald.
Fat-headed former Hunter Biden pal turned MAGA shitbag Tony Bobulinski on Friday filed a federal defamation lawsuit against New York Dem Congressman for having “repeatedly lied about Plaintiff, Anthony Bobulinski, saying that Mr Bobulinski has used a Trump campaign-paid lawyer to lie since October 2020, spreads Russian disinformation, and is a Trump campaign plant. Defendant lied solely to serve his political agenda by deliberately besmirching the character of Mr. Bobulinski and to protect Joseph Biden. Defendant’s assertions are unequivocally false and defamatory. Mr Bobulinski demanded a complete retraction and deletion of his posts made on X (formerly Twitter) on March 26, 2024, which Defendant wholly ignored. Accordingly, Mr Bobulinski seeks to hold Defendant accountable for his malicious and knowing lies,” and blah blah blah it goes on for 26 pages.
Listed as “counsel for plaintiff” is Jesse R Binnall, a former Trump White House attorney who filed a lawsuit to overturn the 2020 election in Nevada and is currently defending Trump from lawsuits brought by members of Congress and Capitol Police officers over the January 6th insurrection.
Just going to throw out there that it just might kind of be a conflict of interest for an attorney to be representing a plaintiff whose claims of malice are based on a factual dispute over that attorney’s other clients. And not the kind of conflict that could prove advantageous to that plaintiff. The other problem is that Goldman’s himself is an attorney and a pretty fucking smart and tenacious one at that so maybe this is the kind of thing that could kind of blow back on Bobulinski and Binnall if they can even get to a discovery phase with Goldman. But what the hell do we know.
