A fun little statistic to throw out to your MAGAt friends who go on a rant about “illegals” all over the country:  the number of undocumented residents in the United States is now lower than it was in 2007–and not just a little bit:  by 14%, according to a new Pew Research Center study reported by MSNBC.  In fact, the number of undocumented residents in the US now stands at the same level as when Donald Trump took office in 2017:  10.7 million.

Per the report, the number of foreign-born residents in the US stands at 47 million, with just under half–23.1 million–now naturalized US citizens.  Around 14 million people are here in the US with one of many legal statuses, from student visas to resident alien cards.  In total, the number of legal migrants in the US increased by 29% over that period of time.

Special counsel Robert Hur’s office, investigating a handful of government documents including classified information found at Biden family properties, reportedly interviewed Hunter Biden last month as part of his investigation, NBC News reports.  Although specific details were not available, Hunter Biden had access to the family’s homes in Wilmington and Rehoboth Beach, both locations at which official documents were found.  According to earlier reports, President Joe Biden is not expected to face any charges relating to his careless handling of the documents, largely because he fully cooperated with the efforts to return them to the National Archives.

A 22-year-old Canadian white supremacist was convicted of four counts of first-degree murder and one count of attempted murder for driving his pickup truck into a Muslim family out for a walk in London, Ontario in June 2021, the CBC reports.  Nathaniel Veltman will be sentenced to mandatory prison time without the possibility of parole for 25 years.

Yumnah Afzaal, 15, her parents Madiha Salman, 44, and Salman Afzaal, 46, and family matriarch Talat Afzaal, 74 were all killed after, prosecutors claimed, Veltman floored the accelerator of his pickup truck and aimed it at the family, who was out for their traditional evening walk.  Another member of the family, a nine-year-old boy, survived the attack.

A New York state judge temporarily lifted a gag order on Donald Trump, his sons and his attorneys from discussing the court staff  involved in his state civil case, a move the case’s judge implemented after Trump and his lawyers targeted a court clerk, CNN reports.  Associate Justice David Friedman of the First Judicial Department said in a decision from the bench the stay was warranted “considering the constitutional and statutory rights at issue an interim stay is granted.”

House Ethics Committee Chairman Michael Guest will introduce a motion to expel lying piece of shit Congressman George Santos when the House reconvenes after Thanksgiving, CNN’s Melanie Zanona reports, explaining that if it’s Guest who drops the hammer it will get more traction as opposed to the angrier, more frustrated attempt made by fellow New York Republican Mike Lawler.

The full Committee report includes the report of the Investigative Subcommittee (ISC) in this matter. At the completion of its investigation, the ISC unanimously concluded that there was substantial evidence that Representative George Santos: knowingly caused his campaign committee to file false or incomplete reports with the Federal Election Commission, used campaign funds for personal purposes; engaged in fraudulent conduct in connection with RedStone Strategies LLC, and engaged in knowing and willful violations of the Ethics in Government Act as it relates to his Financial Disclosure Statements filed with the House,” says the House Ethics Committee on their investigation into George Santos.

“In light of the ongoing criminal investigation into Santos, and the ISC’s findings of additional uncharged and unlawful conduct by Santos, the ISC recommended that the Committee immediately refer these allegations to the Department of Justice. The Committee has unanimously voted to adopt the ISC’s report, and with it, refer the substantial evidence of potential violations of federal criminal law to the Department of Justice for further action as it deems appropriate. The Committee concurs with the ISC’s determination that Santos’ conduct warrants public condemnation, is beneath the dignity of the office, and has brought severe discredit upon the House.”

Again, they did not recommend for or against that Santos be expelled but they fucking found ongoing criminal conduct that they referred to federal law enforcement for further investigation.

House Oversight Committee Chairhick James Comer on Thursday told Newsmax he was aiming to get his most elusive prey, Hunter Biden, under oath by Monday, December 4th so he and his team of crack investigators can finally unravel the giant conspiracy of the Biden Crime Family something.

Of course Hunter hasn’t actually agreed to anything yet – and he doesn’t have to because the House still hasn’t formally authorized this impeachment inquiry, making his subpoenas legally unenforceable – though Comer could set a public hearing, promote the hell out of it, and still declare victory if Hunter doesn’t show up. Then he can have some “whistleblower” testify instead.

Let’s skip the naive, leading sarcasm and get right to it: Comer is too chickenshit to risk Hunter making him look like even more of a stupid asshole at a public hearing, even one preceded by a closed-door deposition. MAYBE that will change and Comer will take it live if/when the private one goes well enough for him, but don’t count on it.
