Crybaby conservative Ken Paxton, the Republican Texas Attorney General saved from conviction in an impeachment despite an array of evidence pointing to his corruption, now intends to do what every conservative does when exposed as a corrupt political player:  he’s suing.

According to the Texas Tribune, Paxton plans to file criminal complaints against some of the Republican impeachment managers from the state house claiming they intentionally doxxed his personal information with the release of documents in the proceedings.

“The impeachment managers clearly have a desire to threaten me with harm when they released this information last week,” Paxton said in a statement. “I’m imploring their local prosecutors in each individual district to investigate the criminal offenses that have been committed.”

Dreamboat Democratic California Governor Gavin Newsom has had a very active veto pen in Sacramento, rejecting some legislation that had considerable public support.  A rundown of the bills Newsom rejected:

• Free condoms in high schools:  Newsom rejected the idea of requiring high schools to have condoms available for free, saying the legislation amounted to an unfunded mandate on school districts.
• Insulin price cap:  In vetoing a $35/month price cap for insulin, Newsom cited a unique reason.  As part of a public-private partnership with pharmaceutical company Civica, CalRx has developed essentially a generic insulin that will be sold at less than the previously demanded price.

After not making the debate stage for two consecutive events, one-time Republican Texas Congressman Will Hurd announced on Twitter that he was ending his presidential run.  Hurd also through the power of his political machine behind the presidential bid of former South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley.

“Our nation deserves a leader who can unite us and navigate the complex challenges we face, particularly when it comes to our national security. I believe Ambassador Nikki Haley is the best person in this race to do that,” Hurd posted.  “Ambassador Haley has shown a willingness to articulate a different vision for the country than Donald Trump and has an unmatched grasp on the complexities of our foreign policy. I wholeheartedly endorse Ambassador Haley and look forward to supporting her for the remainder of this race.”

Trump advisor and collar hoarder Steve Bannon’s appeal of his contempt of Congress conviction has been put on hold until November 9th due to the death of the son of one of the prosecution’s attorneys.  Opening arguments had been scheduled to start October 12th.

“Due to the unexpected death of the son of appellee’s counsel, the United States respectfully requests this Court to reschedule this argument for a time on or after November 6, 2023,” the motion notes.  “Counsel for appellant, David Schoen, Esq., [Bannon’s lawyer] has kindly consented to this motion.”

Robert Hur, the Special Counsel appointed to investigate President Joe Biden’s possession of a handful of classified government documents, interviewed the president over the last two days at the White House regarding how the documents stayed in his possession after he left the vice presidency in 2017, the New York Times reports.  The interview happened on Sunday and Monday, the White House acknowledged.

At his Delaware homes and at the one-time site of his inter-office foundation, Biden had about 1/1,000 the number of government documents found at the Palm Beach supper club managed by an indicted felon who lives on site, and unlike the sometime-wedding deejay, Biden and his staff cooperated with the investigation, including turning the documents over as soon as they were found.

Staffers at Walgreen’s pharmacies around the country will stage walk-outs through Wednesday this week to put a spotlight on working conditions they call unsafe and a danger to patient safety, the Washington Post reports.  The rolling walk-out will impact hundreds of stores around the country.

Pharmacists, technicians and support staff say the company has put more demands on them as they look to streamline profitability, requiring pharmacy staff to juggle a multitude of tasks while trying to maintain patient care and customer service levels.  “When you’re a pharmacist, a missed letter or a number that’s wrong in a prescription could kill somebody,” one of the work action organizer said.

After promising last week to travel to Washington, DC to straighten out the mess in the House and float down from the heavens to bestow his gloriousness of the Republican-created shitshow, indicted felon Donald Trump has now called off his trip to the Capitol, Fox announced like the good propaganda outlet it is.

Trump originally announced the trip last Thursday after Kevin McCarthy was ousted as Speaker by a monster of his own creation, Matt Gaetz.  At the time, Trump’s name was being thrown into the ring as a possible short-term substitute, so a trip to DC before the real candidates for the job held their now-not-televised forum might have seemed to Trump to be a processional to his swearing-in.  But Trump likely learned in the meantime that the Speaker’s job comes with actual work attached to it, making it less attractive to Trump than a 37-year-old.

Israeli dictator Benjamin Netanyahu’s office on Monday cried “fake news” over an Associated Press report quoting an anonymous source in Egyptian intelligence that they had warned “an explosion of the situation is coming, and very soon, and it would be big” prior to Saturday’s horrific terrorist attacks on civilians launched by Hamas from the Gaza Strip, the New York Post reports.

The Council on Foreign Relations Senior Fellow Laurie Garrett goes even further, saying it’s possible Netanyahu was even personally warned by Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi ahead of the attacks which have claimed at least 900 Israeli lives and hundreds more on the Palestinian side.

If true then what was already a massive failure by Netanyahu’s regime now borders on a straight up false flag attack on his own people. How the fuck do you not at the very least look into it and/or post military assets to the region to be at the ready for an attack? Florida’s Republican governor is now complying with some of the state’s “sunshine laws” requiring transparency thanks to a settlement with an independent watchdog group requires the state to release three years’ worth of the state’s data regarding the spread and impact of coronavirus, including information the state Department of Health falsely claimed at one point it didn’t have, the Palm Beach Post reports.

The Florida Department of Health, under the direction of transplanted Nigerian doctor Joseph Ladapo who was recruited from California, has long been suspected of manipulating the pandemic virus like they were Trump property values.  One-time state worker Rebekah Jones alleged the governor’s office ordered staffers to manipulate the data being released to try to undercount the number of infections and deaths in the state to pump up Republican Governor’s Ron DeSantis conservative profile.

The data, released as a result of a lawsuit from Florida Center for Government Accountability sought information on the number of case and the days where the cases were reported along with number of pediatric cases, hospitalizations and fatalities.  The group also received information on vaccinations, data that will be interesting given DeSantis’s 2021 public flip-flop on their effectiveness.  With one of the top ten highest Covid fatality rates in the nation, FCGA alleges DeSantis’s distribution of misinformation about the pandemic cost thousands of Floridians their lives.

Maybe Trump telling his cult that it was “incredible” how many people were killed in Israel over the weekend should be one of those moments that the mainstream media picks up and covers instead of reporting on Joe Biden being old or how much voters aren’t into “Bidenomics” or whatever. They might want to inform their audience that this sick fuck is actually excited to use the deaths of hundreds of Israelis and Palestinians in the attack and in the IDF’s retaliatory strikes for political gain.

Anti-vaccine and anti-semitic freak Robert F Kennedy Jr made it official on Monday and launched his third-party presidential campaign at a rally in Philadelphia, Semafor’s Dave Wiegel reports.

The conservative-led Ohio Supreme Court rejected a proposed Bellefontaine city ballot measure that would ban drag shows in public places, saying Ohio’s Secretary of State and others changed key languages in the proposal after gathering thousands of signatures for the referendum, the Columbus Dispatch reports.

The court ruled that changes made to the measure made by Republican Ohio Secretary of State Frank LaRose and other supporters of the measure changed the fundamental operation of the proposal, which originally stated it would create a new law, but when revised amounted to a change to existing law on allowing public performance and demonstrations.

Five citizens sponsored the measure, which sprung from the appearance of a drag performer dressed as an elf in a 2022 Christmas parade in the city.  The performer simply marched in the parade, a peaceful public appearance that cannot be tolerated by right-wing culture warriors.

The signs are subtle but persistent:  Nearly a week after being ousted as the Republican leader in the House, deposed Speaker Kevin McCarthy is holding onto symbols of his old office, perhaps believing that the GOP conference will reinstall him as the Party descends into chaos.

Per Jake Sherman of Punchbowl News, McCarthy isn’t ruling out re-assuming the post, reiterating his claim that 95% of the caucus supports him and his reappointment to the position is “a decision for the conference.” Additionally, McCarthy has yet to surrender the “SpeakerMcCarthy” nee-Twitter account.

Debunking claims that the prosecution has failed to turn over discoverable material in a timely manner and pointing out false claims defense lawyers have made regarding their access to classified evidence, Jack Smith’s office argued that indicted felon Donald Trump’s federal case concerning is possession of government documents should not be delayed past the 2024 elections despite Trump’s assertions.

“The defendants provide no credible justification to postpone a trial that is still seven months away.  They are fully informed about the charges and the theory of the Government’s case from a highly detailed superseding indictment and comprehensive, organized unclassified and classified discovery,” the Special Counsel’s office argues.  “Their unfounded claims of Government noncompliance with discovery obligations do not support their request.  Their claims about their inability to review classified information are distorted and exaggerated, and, in any event, the Government expects that the CISO will resolve any remaining issues this week. There is no reason to adjourn the trial date.”

The persistent attempts to delay the trials past the November 2024 election date are plainly transparent attempts to protect Trump’s political career, and while they may succeed with the poorly-prepared Trump-appointed judge in Florida, it will not prevent Trump’s cases from being heard in public.

Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., the pest intent on impacting the 2024 presidential campaign as a chaos agent, is expected to announce that he’s leaving the Democratic Party presidential nomination race in which incumbent Joe Biden has a commanding lead, the Guardian reports.

Kennedy’s campaign released a statement that he will make a “much-anticipated announcement in [an] address to the American people” during an appearance in Philadelphia on Monday.  Originally supported by Republicans who thought Kennedy would sap support from Biden in hopes of manipulating the Electoral College, Kennedy’s candidacy has lost support among the right-wing nihilists because his anti-vax message drains more support from Donald Trump and anti-science Republicans than from Democratic candidates.

The US State Department announced nine American citizens have been killed in the three days of violence caused after Hamas launched a massive attack on Israel, pushing the Israeli government to call for a total siege of the region, stopping all food, water and supplies from entering the region, the Washington Post reports.

State Department spokesman Matthew Miller confirmed nine Americans killed throughout the region; it was unclear how many of the US fatalities were in Israel or Gaza.  At least two American legislature, Democratic Congressman Dan Goldman of New York and New Jersey Democratic Senator Cory Booker, were both in Israel at the time of the attack, saying they took shelter in stairways during the bombing.  Goldman was there with his family to attend a bar mitzvah.

After calling an emergency meeting the UN Security Council, US Deputy Ambassador Robert Wood called for the council to condemn the Hamas attack on Israel, but the group retired before issuing a formal statement, Politico reports.  Various delegations on the council restated comments their nations had issued, with Russia and China saying the attacks on civilians must stop immediately and all parties should return to the negotiating table.

Wood called for the council to condemn “this unprovoked invasion and the terrorist attacks,” and demanded that Hamas must end its “violent terrorist activity against the Israeli people.”  Asked if there was an opportunity to restart talks on a two-state solution after Hamas has taken such violent action, Wood responded, “There’ll be time for that. The time right now is we’ve got to deal with the hostage taking, the violence that is going on that’s being perpetrated by Hamas. and we’ve got to deal with first things first.”
