Republican Arizona Congressman Paul Gosar is batshit crazy, without a doubt.  But it really comes through when you read his weekly newsletter.  Using his official House server account, Gosar goes on long, incoherent rants about border security and how, he claims, President Biden is flying hundreds of thousands of “illegals” around the country.  He then goes on a diatribe about the people who are really to blame for the January 6th attacks:  the homosexuals.

After the riot was in full swing, the Chief’s request for National Guard was finally approved.   But even after approval was given, General Milley, the homosexual-promoting-BLM-activist Chairman of the military joint chiefs, delayed.  Of course, we now know that the deviant Milley was coordinating with Nancy Pelosi to hurt President Trump, and treasonously working behind Trump’s back.  In a better society, quislings like the strange sodomy-promoting General Milley would be hung.  He had one boss: President Trump, and instead he was secretly meeting with Pelosi and coordinating with her to hurt Trump.  That is, when he wasn’t also secretly coordinating and sharing intelligence with the Chinese military.   How this traitor remains in office is a question we need answered.

Worth noting that the FBI did in fact raid Menendez’s home last year, which is how they got the photos of the gold bars. It’s just that no reporters got wind of it and Menendez didn’t post anything about it immediately afterward like Trump did when they searched Mar-a-Lago last August.

George Santos didn’t go for it. He doesn’t think New Jersey Senator Robert Menendez should resign after his indictment showed pretty plainly that he accepted bribes. Color us mildly surprised that Georgie would sympathize with a Democrat in a similar legal predicament rather than just go with the usual song-and-dance like he did with that “WHERE’S HUNTER?” tweet the day after he was charged on 13 federal felony counts. His boss Kevin McCarthy saw it differently on Saturday, telling The Hill that Menedez “very much” should quit as the evidence “seems pretty black and white.” It was a switch from McCarthy’s reaction to Santos’s indictment, which was to do nothing.

Like we’ve written before, the whole “IOKIYAR” (“It’s OK if you’re a Republican”) line is kind of almost cringe by this point. Republican South Carolina Congressman Jeff Duncan, whose website touts his support for “traditional family values,” is seeing the end of his decidedly non-traditional marriage – the kind where he has sex with other women and doesn’t tell his wife – as Melody Duncan on Friday filed for divorce from the six-term Freedom Caucasian, The Greenwood Index-Journal reports.

Melody’s complaint specifically cites the 2020 election objector leaving a “Faith and Freedom BBQ” event late last month to go sex up DC lobbyist Liz Williams at the pad they share together. Duncan “has admitted this adulterous relationship to many other people, including the parties’ sons and members of his staff,” the complaint reads, adding that the dapper dog’s reputation for fucking around is “widely known in political circles of South Carolina and Washington DC.”

Batshit Fox News conspiracy theorist Maria Bartiromo was less than pleased with Matt Gaetz being a little too honest about the progress – and really a lack thereof – made so far in the House GOP’s investigations of the Biden Administration and other obsessions, specifically Jim Jordan’s failed “Weaponization” subcommittee. “None of those things are deliverables,” Gaetz said of the effort and the impeachment “inquiry,” which was like a gut punch to Bartiromo, whose programming all year, six days a week, has been just endless promises of a “smoking gun” right around the corner.

A new survey by ABC News and the Washington Post finds fat former President Trump up by 15 points over President Biden in a 2024 matchup among respondents in the 18 to 35 year old respondents in the sample, exposing a serious danger for the incumbent in a key demographic.

Asked by CNN’s Dana Bash on Sunday if he would call on scumbag DINO New Jersey Senator Bob Menendez to resign after his second major federal indictment, Senate Judiciary Committee Chair and Majority Whip Dick Durbin refused, saying only “these are indictments that under the rule of law that have to be proven” and blah blah blah. Such an easy test and the fucking worm failed.

Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg rightly notes that while Republicans are complaining–and blaming him–about everything from a privately-owned railcar overturning on a privately-owned section of track to airline delays caused by their proprietary scheduling system to, well, potholes, the GOP insists on cutting the funding needed to address the issues the federal government *is* responsible for–while complaining about the lack of advancement in those systems, as well.

China has an excess supply of one commodity that the US needs but can’t import, not because of tariffs or trade wars, but because shipping costs would be prohibitive:  China has more than seven billion square feet of unoccupied housing in the country, the equivalent of more than 7.2 million average homes, CNN reports.

The excess stock has led to a prolonged two-year slump in China’s normally robust property markets.  A number of prominent real estate developers are teetering on the edge of bankruptcy because of the debts incurred carrying vacant properties.

“How many vacant homes are there now? Each expert gives a very different number, with the most extreme believing the current number of vacant homes are enough for 3 billion people,” said He Keng, 81, a former deputy head of the statistics bureau.  “That estimate might be a bit much, but 1.4 billion people probably can’t fill them.”

The Texas GOP, siding with allegedly corrupt state Attorney General Ken Paxton, is out for revenge against the rebellious faction of the Party who sought to hold Paxton to a modicum of justice for his corrupt acts.

Per the Texas Scorecard, a state news outlet, the Texas State Republican Executive Committee passed a resolution by a 58-2 vote calling for the Speaker of the State House Dade Phelan to step down from his leadership role after Paxton was acquitted on all 16 charges by the state senate.  Phelan had already been sanctioned by his county Party organization.

This action comes a day after the same state committee voted to censure Republican state rep Andrew Murr, who led the House Board of Managers investigation.  After Paxton was acquitted, Murr seemed to know the writing was on the wall, according to TheTexan.com: “We always knew that a two-thirds vote of the Senate, as required by the Texas Constitution, would be a challenging threshold to meet, especially in light of the millions of dollars that Mr. Paxton’s apologists have spent to influence and intimidate Texas senators and Texas constituents,” Murr said.  “Still as chairman of the House Board of Managers, we presented because it demonstrates considerable uncontested, uncontroverted evidence of Mr. Paxton’s corruption.”

Democratic Maryland Senator Ben Cardin will take over as chair of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee after New Jersey Senator Bob Menendez stepped aside when he was indicted on federal corruption charges for a second time, the Baltimore Sun reports.

Cardin, who is not seeking reelection in 2024 when his term expires, is on familiar ground:  when Menendez was indicted in 2015 for similar charges–the trial for which ended in a hung jury–Cardin stepped in to chair the same committee as the New Jersey Democrat stepped aside to adhere to Democratic caucus rules.

Pennsylvania Senator John Fetterman on Saturday became the first Democratic member of the chamber to call on his corrupt colleague Bob Menendez to quit, writing in a statement “Senator Menendez should resign. He’s entitled to the presumption of innocence under our system, but he is not entitled to continue to wield influence over national policy, especially given the serious and specific nature of the allegations. I hope he chooses an honorable exit and focuses on his trial.”

This probably isn’t Fetterman “going rogue” so much as Majority Leader Chuck Schumer making it look like he’s “going rogue” by using him to turn the pressure up and get Goldbrick Dick to call it quits. Which is understandable. People might be impatient with Dem Senate leadership for not immediately jumping on it to force Menendez out, but we would like to think that out of respect and friendship they gave him a little space to accept that he’s not welcome there any more and if he doesn’t make “an honorable exit” soon then they will move to expel him. We would like to think that.

Separately on Saturday New Jersey Dem Congressman Andy Kim announced a primary challenge against Menendez. We haven’t seen any reporting on whom Governor Phil Murphy is thinking about for a replacement, but this probably would already mean he has to pick a “caretaker,” likely some retired former member of Congress who isn’t going to run in the special election. Again that’s the ideal outcome, but if Murphy picks Kim we wouldn’t really complain either. He’s a good dude.

Hunterghazi “whistleblower” and accused ChiCom spy Gal Luft told associates in 2020 that Trump Administration National Security Advisor Robert O’Brien and Middle Eastern Payoff Expert Jared Kushner had tried to contact him in September of that year while he was in Turkey, with both O’Brien and Jared likely aware Luft was under federal criminal investigation, The Marker reports.

Things that come out in juicy tell-all biographies from former White House staffers are, by definition, juicy, and it appears that the upcoming book from Mark Meadow’s former aide Cassidy Hutchinson looks to have enough to supply an Orange Julius.  According to the New York Daily News, Hutchinson alleges Donald Trump refused to wear face masks during the coronavirus pandemic because it exposed his use of bronzer.

Hutchinson relates that during a visit to a Honeywell facility where they made masks in May 2020, she pointed out the straps of the white N95 mask Trump had been wearing on a facilities tour to the petulant president, who was horrified to see his cosmetics exposed. “Why did no one else tell me that?” he reportedly snapped. “I’m not wearing this thing.”

Trump was not seen in public until July 2020, when he made a visit to Walter Reed Military Medical Center to visit wounded soldiers, and he routinely mocked people who wore masks, likely contributing to MAGAts ignoring public health recommendations.
