Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis filed a notice with the court proposing the trial for Donald Trump and his 18 co-conspirators for the RICO plot to undermine Georgia’s 2020 election results should start on March 4, 2024.

All defendants will be arraigned the week of Tuesday, September 5th, the day after Labor Day, assuming they all turn themselves in as scheduled by Friday, August 25th.

A three-judge panel from the conservative Texas-based Fifth Circuit Court ruled that restrictions on the distribution of the contraceptive drug mifepristone were legal, but continued a stay that allows the drug to continue to be distributed until the case can be heard by the Supreme Court, the Washington Post reported.

The panel ruled that the 2016 changes by the FDA to allow the drug to be used later in pregnancy, to be delivered via mail, and to be prescribed by medical staff other than a doctor were unlawful because the agency did not follow established procedures.  The court’s ruling has little to do with the safety and efficacy of the drug; the anti-choice activist judges are concentrating on what conservatives would derisively describe as “process errors.”

The California Bar Association filed a notice with the state supreme court that it wants to proceed with all due speed with the expulsion hearing for Trump lawyer, indicted co-conspirator and likely unindicted co-conspirator John Eastman, despite Eastman facing nine criminal counts in Fulton County, Georgia.

The Bar argues that the charges outlined in the Georgia case parallel the reasons for Eastman’s removal from the Bar.  “While it is no longer uncertain whether respondent will be indicted on criminal charges, and many of the allegations in the Fulton County indictment are related to the issues in the State Bar case, the prejudice to the State Bar and the public interest in resolving the State Bar case weigh in favor of completing the trial.”

Samuel Miele, a campaign staffer for New York’s other Republican political fraudster George Santos, allegedly impersonated House Speaker pro tem Kevin McCarthy’s chief of staff while talking and emailing potential donors to Santos’s campaign, the Daily Beast reports.  He’s now been indicted by the US Department of Justice on four counts of wire fraud and one count of aggravated identity theft.

Miele reportedly pretended to be McCarthy staffer Dan Meyer when communicating with around twelve donors during the latter half of 2021 as he tried to raise funds for the disgraced impersonator.  The charging documents note that Miele kept 15% of any money raised, making the use of another’s identity a theft scheme. In a letter he sent to Santos last September, Miele admitted the fraud, asserting there is “high risk, high reward in everything I do.”

It’s clear Republican Florida Governor and GOP presidential candidate Ron DeSantis doesn’t respect his state’s history of governmental transparency.  He’s already had his sycophantic legislature pass laws to hide his travel and official expenses.  But one thing he was unable to hide from his constituents is how much the state’s taxpayers are paying for security for his campaign.

Recently released Florida state records, reviewed by the Associated Press, show Sunshine State taxpayers have spent $8 million in the last 12 months on DeSantis’s security team, which travels with him as he campaigns around the country.  Including the additional costs to protect his wife, Casey, and their prop offspring on the campaign trail, Floridians are paying an additional $6.1 million for DeSantis security in the 12 months ending June 2023 than they did in the previous year.

Greatly overestimating her political value, Georgia’s sporkfooted Republican Congresswoman, Marjorie Taylor Greene, told the Atlanta Constitution Journal that she is considering a run for the Senate in 2026 against after being encouraged to do so by indicted felon Donald Trump, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.

The simpleminded adultress also took a swing at Republican Georgia Governor Brian Kemp, who has cooperated with the various investigations into Trump’s attempts to undermine Georgia voters and the US Constitution and who himself is expected to make a Senate run in ’26.

“His message should have been against [Fulton Co. DA Fani Willis’s investigation and indictment of Trump], not arguing with President Trump about the election and making it about his own ego and pride over Georgia’s elections.  That was a bad statement, and I was very upset over it,” Marge declared, apparently unaware that Trump’s effort to overturn the election was about Trump’s pride and ego, not Georgia voters’ will.

In a first-of-its-kind xenotransplant experiment, a pig kidney transplanted into the body of a braindead New York man has functioned properly for more than a month, giving hope to a growing list of patients seeking kidney transplants worldwide, the Associated Press reports.

At NYU Langone Health, the patient received the genetically-modified kidney in mid-July with the transplant surgeon noting instantly that the pig kidney “looks even better than a human kidney” after the organ started to produce urine immediately after implantation. The team will monitor the patient for the next month.

This is not the first time pig organs have been used in humans, but it marks the longest time a kidney has worked in a human host.  Last year, doctors at the University of Maryland implanted a genetically-modified pig heart into a living patient who had expended all traditional medical options.  The patient survived for two months before the heart failed for unknown reasons.

The 19 co-conspirators indicted by a Fulton County grand jury must turn themselves in at the county jail before the August 25th deadline, the sheriff’s office stated, where they will be processed, including having their fingerprints and mug shots taken, CBS News reports.

Fulton County is slightly different than many jurisdictions in that the booking and processing happen at the jailhouse, not the courthouse, located about five miles away.  Processed defendants are then typically transported to the courthouse for arraignment hearings, although it is unknown if Trump and the other defendants would be brought by sheriff’s deputies or other transportation to the courthouse.

Adding to the havoc of Trump’s latest indictment is that the jail is open around the clock, allowing defendants to surrender themselves at any time, making Trump Perp Walk Watch more difficult.  “Keep in mind, defendants can turn themselves in at any time. The jail is open 24/7,” the sheriff’s office said.

Over the past month, at least 26 fraudulent calls to local emergency services have sent police speeding to a community synagogue after a false report of a bomb threat or an active shooter, an act known as “swatting” that officials say is meant to produce fear and chaos while hoping that police reactions lead to someone being harmed or killed, the New York Times reports.

Focused on 12 states and starting after the Tree of Life Synagogue shooting in Pittsburgh was sentence to death, the calls are believed to be from a single source or an associated group of individuals.  Callers have claimed bombs were put under pews at houses of worship in New York, California and North Carolina, among other places.  At synagogues California and North Carolina, officers entered the building while the congregations were participating in worship or other activities and aggressively evacuated the buildings, causing fear and panic among the congregants.

“What this specific campaign does,” Oren Segal, the director of the Anti-Defamation League’s Center on Extremism, said, “is meld the technologies that we know amplify antisemitism and enables people to weaponize them through swatting tactics that not only troll the Jewish community, but try to create fear and anxiety without having to leave the comfort of their homes.”

An Associated Press report on their latest survey with NORC – which found disgraced former President Trump’s approval rating at 35 percent to 62 percent disapprove – quotes another one of the Orange Messiah’s worshippers purposely ignorant of the reality of his criminal liability.

“Trump is obviously running for president and the sitting administration is pushing to have their political rival arrested and put in jail. Just on the surface that’s a very, very bad look. That’s something that you would expect to see in third world countries that are run by dictators… I have not seen anything that seemed to be illegal. I know people have said that he did things illegally, but none of the things that they’ve said make any sense,” says Maryland Trump fan Cary Arnold, 56.

Some Dem strategists are egging President Biden into exploiting his bloated, disgraced predecessor’s criminal liabilities now that the fourth expected case has finally dropped, saying now’s the time to capitalize politically on it, especially since Joe’s reelection campaign is heavily focused on the threats to democracy presented by Trump and Trumpism, Politico Playbook reports.

“It’s impossible to have a conversation about American politics without talking about what’s happening with Trump. I mean, it’s the central issue in the campaign potentially next year. And so I don’t know how it’s going to happen, but it will happen. It has to. It would be like not talking about the sky being blue. It’s a major part of our discourse. It would be impossible for the campaign to avoid it,” said Dem egghead Simon Rosenberg. Biden’s acolytes disagree, with one 2020 campaign alum saying “Americans know what Trump did. A lesson of every election cycle from 2018 to now is, don’t get mired in the endless details of Trump scandals, talk about values and agendas.”

At least 106 people have been confirmed dead a week after a massive wind-driven wildfire torched the historic town of Lahaina, Hawaii, the Honolulu Star-Advertiser reports. Rescue personnel have searched about 32 percent of the burned area and circa 1,300 remain unaccounted for as of Tuesday morning, so the toll will unfortunately continue to rise. Really hoping it’s not anywhere near 1,300 and those folks are merely scattered in shelters or staying on other islands in the Aloha State.

A thrice-divorced, hair-dye-addicted alcoholic who can’t get his clients to pay his bills is reportedly in dire financial straits as he faces his first criminal indictment on top of a dumpster-full of civil suits that could cost him more than one billion dollars.

According to CNN, Rudy Giuliani is facing $90,000 in court sanctions, along with a court-mandated $20,000 per month electronic records storage fee, a $15,000 records search fee and a separate $57,000 judgment against his company for unpaid phone bills. He ran up a $320,000 past due account with the company preserving his electronic records before the Trump SuperPAC picked up the tab because the records were needed in other cases.

Besides the Fulton County criminal indictment that dropped Monday, Giuliani is facing defamation lawsuits from both Smartmatic and Dominion Voting Systems that go into the billions of dollars.  And because he admitted to the facts of the case brought in Shae Moss and Ruby Freeman’s lawsuit–admissions which, by the way, may be used as evidence in other cases–the judge in the case just has to rule if Ruby’s lies about the pair are protected political speech.  (Yeah, I know.  I chuckled as I typed it.)

A dump of documents from the Special Counsel’s office shows Twitter turned over a slew of information from Donald Trump’s account, including direct messages and other communications, but only after a furious battle during which the judge accused the company’s owner of slow-walking compliance with a warrant to curry favor with Trump.

Prosecutors ultimately got a load of data from the social media platform, essentially from all the things Twitter collects from all its users, as summarized by Politico:

• Accounts associated with @realdonaldtrump that the former president might have used in the same device
• Devices used to log into the @realdonaldtrump account
•  IP addresses used to log into the account between October 2020 and January 2021.
• Privacy settings and history
• All tweets “created, drafted, favorited/liked, or retweeted” by @realdonaldtrump, including any subsequently deleted.
• All direct messages “sent from, received by, stored in draft form in, or otherwise associated with” @realdonaldtrump
• All records of searches from October 2020 to January 2021
• Location information for the user of @realdonaldtrump from October 2020 to January 2021

Right-wing reporter John Cardillo reports that the Save America PAC, which is picking up the legal bills of a number of people swept up in the investigations into the criminal activities of Donald Trump, is refusing to pay any fees amassed by disgraced lawyer and member of Trump’s Elite Strike Force Team Jenna Ellis, who was one of the 18 people who joined Trump on a Fulton County indictment.

While Ellis was all-in for Trump and his Big Lie, she’s jumped ship this cycle and is supporting the failing campaign of Florida short straw Ron DeSantis.  Betraying the cult comes with a price, apparently.

Lara Trump is right to be upset over Hillary Clinton laughing about her father-in-law getting charged a fifth time on Monday for a grand total of 91 felonies. It’s not funny like saying “Let’s Go Brandon!” or “My pronouns are Arrest/Fauci” or Congressman Jim Jordan’s tweets. Those are good examples of conservative-friendly comedy material – wholesome stuff, unlike liberals who mostly just laugh at the misfortune of others facing the justice system or dying of COVID after refusing to get vaxxed.

As much as 80% of the floating barrier Republican Texas governor Greg Abbott constructed in the Rio Grande River to stop migrants from crossing the border is actually located in Mexico, possibly making it an illegal annexation of land, CBS News reports.

The barrier, which is believed to be responsible for at least two deaths according to officials, was surveyed by the US International Boundary and Water Commission and their Mexican counterparts for a lawsuit the Biden Administration filed against Abbott and Texas over the barrier, which the Administration says violates several federal laws.

“A majority of the floating barrier (approximately 787 feet of the 995-foot buoy chain) is located within the territory of Mexico,” the Justice Department said in the court filing.

“You can count on me.  I not going nowhere, and all this stuff about cooperating:  You’re damn right I’m gonna cooperate!” exorts Co-conspirator 1 in the federal indictment and named co-defendant in the Georgia indictment Rudy Giuliani.  “I’m gonna cooperate and show what criminals they [meaning either the prosecutors or the Bidens, it’s hard to tell with Rudy] are and what they’re doing to our Constitution and how they’re destroying it and how they are a disgrace to my profession. That’s what I’m gonna cooperate with.”
