The University of Virginia’s election guru Larry Sabato’s Crystal Ball has shifted seven states Electoral College votes from “safe republican” to “likely republican” in its latest ratings, released today.
In Sabato latest estimate, Alaska, Indiana, Kansas, Missouri, Montana, South Carolina and Utah has shifted slightly toward presumptive Democratic nominee Joe Biden.
The Crystal Ball currently has 268 Electoral College votes going to Biden, with four states–Arizona, Florida, North Carolina and Wisconsin–denoted as toss-ups. Nebraska’s Second Congressional District, which votes independently of the winner of the state, is also shown as a toss-up.
In an update in governor’s races, Sabato shifted the Missouri office from Safe republican to Likely republican.
For the Senate, Sabato’s update from last Wednesday shifted Arizona and Colorado from toss-up to flipping to Democrats with Maine and North Carolina now being toss-ups.
